Plutonium Risks To Health

[Translate] Googleによる日本語訳は、記事の一番下に翻訳。 Plutonium is a radioactive isotope that is produced inside a nuclear reactor. Plutonium that was released into the environment during the nuclear accidents at Fukushima Daiichi can be extremely dangerous. Plutonium-239 is produced from the decay of Uranium-239 and has at least 15 different isotopes (most common Pu-238, 240, 241, 242) all of which are radioactive and have varying half lifes (Pu-239 is highest at over 24000 years). All of these plutonium isotopes can be dangerous if they enter the body. NISA Colluded With Seven Power Companies To Influence Public

[Translate] The official count so far has risen to seven power companies that NISA colluded with to fake public support for dangerous MOX plutonium fuel programs. This collusion used these power company’s employees as shills, posing as regular citizens expressing support for approval of the otherwise unpopular MOX programs. This practice becomes even more criminal considering that Fukushima Daiichi Unit 3 at  is proving to be a significantly greater threat to public safety due to the MOX fuel installed in it. Video: Creating A Contamination Map In Japan

[Translate] The excellent NHK documentary follows a radiation scientist as he tracks the fallout around Japan from Fukushima Daiichi.  Kimora worked for METI and was told to refrain from any research unless they gave him permission. Kimora quit METI and is independently researching the radiation fallout with the help of other scientists.  This important video shows the very real danger and the struggle of scientists to properly document what is going on. The shocking radiation levels found in this video flies in the face of the official record by government agencies. The difference between types of radiation

[Translate] Radiation from nuclear accidents is frequently expressed by the media as “just like an x-ray” or “equivalent to an x-ray”. This comparison is grossly incorrect. Many times internal exposure will be again, incorrectly compared to an x-ray. These faulty comparisons give the public a false sense of security. The International  Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War have an excellent paper that clearly explains the differences between medical diagnostics and a nuclear accident. Help this go viral. Japanese town hall meeting gone bad

[Translate] On the 19th of July 2011, people in Fukushima finally got a meeting with government officals from Tokyo.  Aside from a chance to ask the life-or-death questions burning in their minds, it was a chance to demand that the government evacuate people promptly in Fukushima and provide financial and logistical support for them. They were met with a callous and transparent kiss-off, before the officials walked out on them en masse.  Here’s a video compiled from several others, which are linked under the video on the YouTube page. Fukushima Citizens Snubbed by Japanese Government Officials from Tokyo This is so in-your-face that it paints a terrible (and hence accurate) picture of the GoJ’s seeming apathy toward the plight of ordinary people, read: citizens, voters, parents worried about their children etc.  It is a damning video on a very … Read entire article »

Building A Citizen Testing System In Japan

[Translate] What is currently happening in Japan may sound familiar to many in Germany. After Chernobyl exploded, governments were intent on downplaying the situation. One German politician even erroneously suggested boiling milk would remove radioactive contamination. Obviously that is not true but illustrates the same kind of disconnect that is frustrating consumers in Japan today.   Comprehensive food testing in Germany was not coming together so the citizens took it upon themselves to do so without government help. [Translate] First, the technical. The mini copter will be back at Fukushima Daiichi to attempt to take radiation readings above the reactor buildings.  On the 23rd there was an extended power outage at Fukushima Daiichi as workers tried to repair some electrical equipment. This caused the common pool and unit 3′s spent fuel pool to go without cooling for an extended time. The common pool was seen releasing considerable amounts of steam soon after power was restored, indicating a significant increase in the pool temp during the outage.  This article would not be possible without the extensive efforts of the SimplyInfo research team Join the conversation at chat.simplyinfo.org All content is copyright SimplyInfo.org.
