The typhoon is predicted to be a slow moving tropical storm by the time it hits north east Japan. Rains from the previous typhoon already caused groundwater contamination to shift as was seen in monitoring wells. TEPCO has yet to provide any readings for that time period for the sea front wells, the port or the trenches near the damaged reactors.
