Unit 2 Update: Temps High, Nuclides Showing Up
Temperatures still running around 250 degrees in unit 2 at the “0″ position temp gauge. NISA has instructed TEPCO to find a way to confirm the temperature inside unit 2 in that area after TEPCO claimed the sensor had failed.
Cesium is showing up at the knock out panel of unit 2 and in the gas handling system. The filters for unit 2 are showing various nuclides in detectable amounts. Prefecture monitoring stations around Fukushima are not showing any considerable increases today in radiation.
