In The Evacuation Zone Today, Tomioka Photos
The “Naoto Matsumura, Guardian of Fukushima’s Animals” Facebook page has some new photos from the evacuation zone. One of their members went to visit Matsumura in Tomioka. He showed them what was left of one part of the town. What makes these photos so unreal is it has been less than two years since the 311 disaster. Many places remained damaged by the earthquake and tsunami. Others fell into further disrepair due to neglect and time as people can’t go to do repairs. Even doing repairs is doubtful as the future of the town is still unknown.
The entire photo gallery can be found on their website.
