A load of contaminated scrap metal from Japan was discovered in the Chinese port city of Ningbo. The contamination was 28% above the legal limit in China. The company denied the export of contaminated metal was intentional adding it could have been from contaminated vehicles from Fukushima that had been dismantled for scrap but “slipped though”.
