Looks like the Kermandec Islands quake may be the same as the NZ quake. www.nzherald.co.nz

@Lilly I haven't heard anything about damage. I think it was too far off coast..but I'm not positive.

@smoss Wondering if you can add some formatting on the document that is your paper to identify what is your narrative vs. quotes out of TEPCO documents? I was getting confused. Also do you want me to just link out to documents rather than trying to cut and paste to wordpress documents?

@lillymunster I will look to formatting the doc in a little clearer manner (a little rough looking at this point, I admit) As to how and where they can be added, I'll leave that up to you, I don't have a preference. (what ever is easier always works in my book)

earthquake.usgs.gov show only 1 shock, it was a 7.8 and then they revised it.

The most reliable earthquake info would be IRIS, I have found USGS to be more selective on recording earthquakes. IRIS will show you all the reporting stations for the quakes, as well.
