I thought our consensus on that was it was most likely floodlights or work lights illuminating the outside of a building, barely detectable by the webcam?

Plutonium (PU) is a concern in all Fukushima reactors. See en.wikipedia.org - read Overview section: MOX fuel assemblies start out with PU oxide in the Mix, whereas the other BWR reactors running on U-oxide accumulate PU in the fuel over their (approx) 3yr runtime. By the time the 'normal' U-fuel rods are finished and get placed in a spent fuel pool, they contain similar amounts of PU as fresh MOX fuel rods (and not just PU either). Which makes the spent fuel pools such a worry. The leakage continues and that is unstoppable for the time being. Even small levels of radiation - cumulatively and over time - will do damage to humans. Don't overlook those additional factors - it's time to extend the evacuation zone and well and truly time to inform the public.

Ok, so in the meantime "i got 4hrs of sleep" .what does the Plutonium find now mean ? Raised level now to Chernobyl Status?......and if the core leaked "I assume this means it" than is there any hope to stop this without a Sarcopharg? "spelling" ??

Uhmm, i remember when i asked about that glow when i posted that picture questioning it..I THINK.doesn't matter, however, i never saw it when all black before......AND, normally all the Steam towers have lights on them for planes etc. right ?.So why arent we seeing them ever ?

Here is a link to the human experiments of the Manhattan Projects. Various people were injected with plutonium around the country, although that fact was unkown to them. The report is from the Dept of Energy which wrote the report decades after the incidents. Anyway, it's a bit stomach churning to read, but maybe will add some information under the circumstances. I'm pretty familiar with this report because my grandfather was a scientist in the Manhattan project and my family grew up in Oak Ridge. We have some strange genetic issues. @Veen -- The tower lights would have a limited battery backup, and since the whole area is a restricted no-fly zone, restoration of ICAO AC warning lights would be way down in the list of priorities.

@VeenOui It's NOT worklights, or it'd be there all the time. admittedly faint...like flouresence? some kind of luminescence. and here's the thing- check out on pin up top the data for unit 3 and notice when the spike in temp is..

I strongly doubt that stuff is Cerenkov radiation. If it was, to be visible on that cruddy webcam it would be a truly massive amount of energy.
