  • @dean Hi! @Lilly @all The GoJ and Tepco have done an amazing job deflecting attention from 3 and the MOX fuel in it. I think the silence speaks volumes.

  • @all This is really strange and frankly scary. I went to the EPA site to look at San Diego levels and all of the levels were altered..I've been looking once a day for the last 4 months. All the recent beta levels were halved and spikes were flattened out. This is what was posted on the page: This site contains information and data from March 11, 2011 to June 30, 2011. EPA has returned to routine RadNet operations. This site will continue to be available for historical and informative purposes.

For real-time air monitoring data, please visit the EPA RadNet website and Central Data Exchange. To view both current and historical laboratory data, please visit our Envirofacts database.
I'm freaked..I think it's an outrage if they're changing data like that!
    by LM 7/9/2011 2:17:41 AM

  • @LM be the new 'panic and alarm' clause..mission creep...
    by elainekirk 7/9/2011 2:19:18 AM

  • by elainekirk 7/9/2011 2:23:13 AM

  • @Elaine I just noticed they cut off the data at June 30. There were some major spikes since then. I might have freaked prematurely. I can't help feeling a little deceived..even if it may be irrational. They aren't showing real-time beta data on EPA site anymore. There is some at Envirofacts.
    by LM 7/9/2011 2:24:18 AM

  • @elainekirk the last NRC link is messed up. I can't determine what needs to be modified to make it work.
    by lillymunster 7/9/2011 2:26:45 AM

  • @LM That is really concerning. I can't think of a good reason to modify that. I think someone found other data alterations last week. Can't remember who though.
    by lillymunster 7/9/2011 2:28:01 AM

  • @Elaine, levels in 3 are pretty high if they have to be in there any period of time.
    by lillymunster 7/9/2011 2:30:02 AM

  • @all Off topic question: When was the next outage for fuel re-loading scheduled for at Fukushima I - 3? Do we know?
    by smoss 7/9/2011 2:30:32 AM

  • @smoss Fuel load was late Sept-early Oct based on media reports. So 18-19 months later.

  • @Lilly They claim they're leaving the data through June 30 for historical purposes but I find it interesting that, at least here in San Diego, they chose to cut off the data before an even more significant spike after a drop off. Even if the data wasn't manipulating they're lying by omittion
