  • Looks like the worst area is a debris field next to #3 at ~300mSv/hr
by Jim Carver 4/24/2011 8:32:39 PM

  • @reed do you have a link to the page where the PDF link is located rather than the PDF itself?

  • Just west of #3 is 300.
by Jim Carver 4/24/2011 8:42:34 PM

  • I noticed the 300 reading is the corner where most of the damage was, where the floor is gone etc.
    by Nancy 4/24/2011 8:42:59 PM

  • @jim I have added the diagrams/pics to the #4 sfp and walls reports but you have better translation if you want to harvest the pics docs.google.com and docs.google.com
    by elainekirk 4/24/2011 8:43:45 PM

  • @elainekirk k Elaine. @and just to the NW of that is 70.
by Jim Carver 4/24/2011 8:45:18 PM

  • @elainekirk Get a 404 on that one.
Jim I have added them again do they work now?
by Jim Carver edited by elainekirk 4/24/2011 8:48:28 PM

  • Where ever there are debris fields it's really hot.
by Jim Carver 4/24/2011 8:50:34 PM

  • How odd that they have a 'no-go' symbol (circle with a diagonal line) near the north end of the plant by 40msv/h debris field, but not by others...
by marie rich 4/24/2011 8:51:10 PM

  • @marie thei have nearly 200,000 barrels of radioactive waste stored maybe it is there underground and volatile due to flooding? not spent fuel just contaminated ??
    by elainekirk 4/24/2011 8:53:21 PM

  • idk,I just notice anomalies. That's why no one pays me the big bucks :=)
by marie rich 4/24/2011 8:54:21 PM

  • @Elaine i already got those. You must have a language pack missing or something, because most of it is still in jp. But their snagged anyway.
by Jim Carver 4/24/2011 8:54:49 PM

  • @jim would it be better if I just trawled the 7yrs of docs and sent you links to those that may be of interest because I am not good at converting but I can read them in english to decide if they worthy of your attention?
    by elainekirk 4/24/2011 8:57:09 PM

  • 誰がこれを読むことができますか? Who can read this?
by Jim Carver 4/24/2011 8:58:56 PM

  • @elainekirk I think just put it in and let god sort it out :)
by Jim Carver 4/24/2011 9:00:08 PM

  • @jim I cannot read it
    by elainekirk 4/24/2011 9:02:56 PM

  • @elainekirk It's a ghost town today. Wow, it's getting darker and darker...have a thunderstorm watch today.
by Jim Carver 4/24/2011 9:07:35 PM

  • @Jim Carver It says: Can anyone read this?
by marie rich 4/24/2011 9:09:56 PM

  • If you go by the chinese character in it (in pinyin:neng) it technically is anbody ABLE to read this.
by marie rich 4/24/2011 9:13:17 PM

  • @elainekirk Yep Elaine, it's your 'puter. That's why you're not getting a complete translation.
by Jim Carver 4/24/2011 9:13:48 PM

  • @marie rich That's funny because that was my real meaning.
by Jim Carver 4/24/2011 9:15:07 PM

  • @Jim hmmm well I will snippet bits of info and put with pdf link and pics then if anyone wants to explore further?? is that an idea?
    by elainekirk 4/24/2011 9:19:01 PM

  • @elainekirk Sure, that'd be good..I'm going to take a break and see bout the weather.
by Jim Carver 4/24/2011 9:20:45 PM

  • @jim good luck hope you stay safe
    by elainekirk 4/24/2011 9:21:27 PM

    by UKVal 4/24/2011 9:34:58 PM

  • @jim the Japanese text shows up fine for me
    by Sims 4/24/2011 9:35:06 PM

  • i would love to know what is you individually think A:this is not yet chernobly size B: this is at the same scope C: this is worse by a bit D: this is so bad it can not be talked about.
    by e123 4/24/2011 9:41:21 PM

  • @e123 I think it is already worse than chernobyl but it is playing out different. The release of radioactivity has been more of a long slow drip with a good portion in the explosions. I read somewhere that the total releases (water, air etc) are already over Chernobyl's total. With the massive amounts going into the sea and water table I think over time it is going to be a bigger problem. The area of Japan while it seems to be semi-rural still has many more people than I think Chernobyl had due to the remote location.
    by Nancy 4/24/2011 9:52:23 PM

  • yes it is one hell of a mess.
    by e123 4/24/2011 9:54:15 PM

  • @Jim Carver : translation works without character set, of course.
    by Edano 4/24/2011 10:08:24 PM

  • @Edano Wonder why some computers & they seem to be windows, can't see it?
