  • @edano I am reading your work and appreciate it!. Thanks

  • @AustralianCannonball Thank you! I may just get the hubby to have a go at it incase I break it! lolNight!!!
Yes angie cannonball described what I did but I couldnt remember what I typed in the run box I followed guide here www.bleepingcomputer.com to whAT every name meant

  • @elainekirk Did you see any reference to why tose sea water contamination levels were changed? www.tepco.co.jp All the levels listed were below the limits to begin with, but that doesn't mean non-detectable.

Circulating Seawater Purification Equipment at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station

    by elainekirk via Tepco.co.jp 6/1/2011 12:21:36 PM

  • Rbeaner I am wondering if as with food in europe the levels considered normal have been raised and tepco are backdating I don't know I am not techi but thought it strange enough to post
    by elainekirk 6/1/2011 12:23:37 PM

  • @elainekirk That is exactly what they should be doing!! Circulating Seawater Purification Equipment. It is the type of outside the box thinking that has been missing since day 1! They need to use some ingenuity and jury rig some stuff to make progress. At plants I've worked, a crappy "Gross" water filtration system could have been set up in 3-6 hrs, for thousands of gal/hr processed to 1/1000 or even 1/10,000 the origional radioactivity levels.
    by RBeaner 6/1/2011 12:25:44 PM

  • @elainekirk well on the top "wrong" pdf, the measured and documented levels were below the normal discharge limits, but they were definitely not non-detectable, I was wondering if there was some pr that says they miscounted or something.
    by RBeaner 6/1/2011 12:28:02 PM

  • @rbeaner I havent found the explanation yet it ussually goes to nisa and is published once they clear it - it helps them to keep their versions similar when 'informing' the riff raff
    by elainekirk 6/1/2011 12:30:46 PM

  • @RBeaner There was this TEPCO Press Release yesterday (Jun 01,2011) - Correction of "Detection of Radioactive Materials from Seawater near Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (69th release)": www.tepco.co.jp
    by es 6/1/2011 12:32:18 PM

  • @elainekirk I'm in USA, but the fact that EU considered this a Nuclear Disaster (applying to their regulations changing) and upped the limits just pisses me off, they totally disregarded the concept of As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) with regard to radiation exposure. There were simply no food supplies , That They Need, to justify raising those limits. The US did not modify any pre existing limits, and nothing (as far as I know, has exceeded those limits.
    by RBeaner 6/1/2011 12:32:33 PM

  • @rbeaner this may answer your question havent read as multitasking lol www.tepco.co.jp
    by elainekirk 6/1/2011 12:33:02 PM

  • @es Hmmmm.. Thanks for that link. Doesn't make sense to me, scaling factor CAN NOT bring things down to ND. It just can't. and I have know idea what they mean by density, it's just seawater...ARGGH!
    by RBeaner 6/1/2011 12:36:14 PM

  • @elainekirk ty, it filled the concept of Density, gap I had. LOL
    by RBeaner 6/1/2011 12:41:33 PM

  • @RBeaner couldn't they set up something along the lines of an aquarium filter that would pull out much of the contamination? Like that big box in the picture but have it full of zeolite, charcoal and any other media known to pull out radioactive substances? I don't know how hard it would be to rig a huge reverse osmosis system but supposedly that pulls out most contamination also.
    by Nancy 6/1/2011 12:41:58 PM

  • @Nancy Yes, there are many things that could be used, cheap and easy and quick. The problem is there won't be proper engineering documents, proof of concept papers, approvals reviews etc.. that all normally are performed by all corporations. The workers, direct supervisors and field engineers probably have the creativity and experience to make these things work (in the US they do), but their corp culture, or maybe japonese culture (i don't know) can't make it happen. I admit, in the US, with all the attention, corp, gov and media, prehaps it wouldn't happen here either.
    by RBeaner 6/1/2011 12:47:18 PM

  • @RBeaner Areva announce they were providing a water system but it would take months to complete. It seems like TEPCO has decided that is an excuse to do nothing. I want to know why Areva is taking that long to construct something.
    by Nancy 6/1/2011 12:50:20 PM

  • @Nancy Everyone gets their word in. Procedures are researched and customized and approved and modified and approved again and then another engineer gets a shot at it etc... This is called business as usual, and normally produces a well refined product or system. But we aren't in a business as usual situation.
