  • I had a thought off of last nights convo about cutting energy use in Japan. If we need all these changes to save power, these new products and technologies could help employ all the that are out of work. Japan has the capability to make that kind of change if they would stop arguing in the govt.

  • they can start by taking the computers out of refridgerators that will let you watch tv, and all that stuff... whewwwww
    by dean 6/16/2011 12:17:35 PM

  • @dean It makes sense, solve one problem with the other. It would take a major push to get it to happen. We are probably under the same political challenges Japan is. Yes, all the added features in products are frequently redundant and waste power.

  • checking it out now
    by dean 6/16/2011 12:19:27 PM

  • @dean RVs and boats already do much of their as DC. Earthship houses and other off-grid types frequently use DC because it is more efficient than converting to AC.

  • lilly. that man at the first is taking what we call "smears".. the number will be used to map the contamination levels. the take those out and put them in a counter to get total counts/minute of contaminatino
    by dean 6/16/2011 12:21:01 PM

  • the door bell industry had it a long long time ago.. they put the little transformer to convert to DC.
    by dean 6/16/2011 12:21:44 PM

  • @dean There are lots of things that can already run on DC but we have all those power bricks converting AC back to DC so we can power it.
