yep.. @Peter.. I live in one with protective convenants but they aren't very restrictive,,, well.. unless if you count I can't grow chickens and get eggs in my back yard.. DARN IT..

@Peter Melzer in Japan almost everyone dries their clothes outside. Every house and apt. comes with a space to hang clothes to dry. This is good from an energy usage perspective, but won't those drying wet clothes also be "hot particle" magnets?

by bo 6/16/2011 4:13:49 AM

I have a friend that lives up in alaska and I visited to go fishing.. he told me that they were becoming minimalists... I said.. hmmm interesting.. he said.. our electric water heater is set to run every 3 days is all,, and he kept bugging me .. turn that light out... I said.. hey man I'm cooking an egg geeeeeeeeeeeesh... I got this idea.. and told him.. I bet you can go longer that 3 days on the water heater.. and I said.. I will challenge you to how long it takes to shower... .I hold the record for 72 seconds...

@M.I.A. is it red and white striped?
by lillymunster 6/16/2011 4:20:20 AM

@M.I.A. It made a brief appearance yesterday. Had a few of us really concerned because it was moving around so fast and were not sure what it was. Not sure why it isn't visible on TEPCO. Some times it was too close to the docs to be seen on the camera but I saw it in front of the tower of #1 on TBS yet nothing on TEPCO cam. A few of us have been wondering if TEPCo is putting out a live feed or not
by lillymunster 6/16/2011 4:23:00 AM

@Peter Melzer We have them here. Not as popular as big tank heaters but most of the big box stores sell them.
by lillymunster 6/16/2011 4:24:04 AM

@dh that is good news. Maybe all the individuals posting rad readings from Tokyo online pressured them into doing it properly?
by lillymunster 6/16/2011 4:26:35 AM

@M.I.A. I found it suspicious but was swamped with other things and didn't get back to looking at it. There has to be a way to document what is going on. Maybe if the TEPCO feed shows different weather or light plus side by side shots of TBS and TEPCo taken at the same time when the crane should be visible. A series of those would raise questions.
