- From 11:36 am to 2:05 pm on April 29, we have checked the status inside
the reactor building of Unit 1 using remotely-controlled robot and
confirmed that there was no significant water leakage from the primary
containment vessel.

*On April 29th, spraying the dust inhibitor to prevent the diffusion of
radioactive material on the ground surface was conducted at the east side
of turbine building of Unit 4 at a total range of approximately 7,000m2
using the unmanned crawler dump truck. On April 29th, spraying the dust
inhibitor was conducted as the same method before at the mountain side of
the reactor building of Unit 5 at a total range of approximately 5,800m2.

by elainekirk 6/28/2011 11:38:46 PM

@elainekirk LOL. I think most of the skew in that photo is camera lens. There may be some slight descrepancy in #1 and the tower. More photos would give a clearer idea.

Did anyone catch Arnie Gundersen's radio interview today? One of the things he talked about was these big companies like Entergy that run nuclear power plants will do some games with corporate structure to get out of liability for a plant. IE: To run Indian Point in NY state they start an "Entergy LLC of NY" company there. They can still shuffle profits off to Entergy but if they blew up Indian Point liability stops at the assets of Entergy LLC of NY and you can't touch the rest of the company.
Since so many of these companies have incarnations of them selves all over the world they are likely doing this in other countries in some way. So these companies get huge and hold basically no liability if they blow up a power plant.
