@Edano we quit updating to the website. Is there a way to look at that on TEPCO's website in a readable format?
by lillymunster 10/24/2011 2:15:32 AM

back.. reading @ Peter and Edano on the test
by dean 10/24/2011 2:16:44 AM

@lillymunster idk. what do you need exactly ?
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:17:18 AM

@ Edano...as I understand they will do the next test and then based on what they see decide to send me to cath lab....it's this Wednesday at 8 a.m. and they say it could take 3-4 hours for the initial testing
by dean 10/24/2011 2:20:15 AM

@Edano looking for plant parameters for 5-6
by lillymunster 10/24/2011 2:20:22 AM

@lillymunster ah, okay, can't help you on that. elaine should know better.
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:21:10 AM

I found METI plant sheets - they still put them out. Does anyone know what the proper water levels should be? 5-6 on the last page
www.meti.go.jpby lillymunster 10/24/2011 2:22:30 AM

@dean you want to tell me what exactly they suppose ? what are your symptoms ?
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:22:34 AM

@Edano, I was experiencing reduced energy levels and the doctor wanted to do the treadmill test in part... when they did the test I was shocked to see that I didn't make it all the way and they said that I had some indications on one side of my heart, not alarming warranting going straight to the cath lab but, something to do with ischemic so they ordered the nuclear stress test next
by dean 10/24/2011 2:25:52 AM

@lillymunster fuel top is 4000 mm. water level should be more than 4000. i don't know if they can lower the water level on cold shutdown (@dean ?)
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:26:20 AM

@dean but no problems on your bike ?
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:27:43 AM

@ Edano, I would assume 5&6 should be defueled and water level at normal for the coldshutdown condition, at least up to the level of the SFP..
by dean 10/24/2011 2:27:43 AM

On my bike I have noticed that my output is roughly 1/2 from what it was a year ago... ie: the senior olympic bicycle races were off for this year
by dean 10/24/2011 2:28:27 AM

when I did the treadmill I did have some minor pain in my chest which the asked about
by dean 10/24/2011 2:28:53 AM

@dean They have fuel in the reactors but were in shutdown at the time of the quake. They have been messing with pumps quite a bit. Thus the question of water level
www.tepco.co.jpby lillymunster 10/24/2011 2:29:06 AM

heart rate on the treadmill went up to 143 bpm then they stopped it
by dean 10/24/2011 2:29:11 AM

@ lilly .. we should try to determine if the fuel is still there or what activities have gone on in 5 & 6
by dean 10/24/2011 2:30:05 AM

@Edano, the treadmill attendant said she thought there was some indication on one side of the ischemic condition ,,, I think she ordered and recommended the next test to be ultra safe
by dean 10/24/2011 2:31:26 AM

@dean they did not stop the test for the frequency, it is quite normal. maybe they saw too high heart pressure or anomalies in the electrocardiogram. with the nuclear stress test they give you "speed" by drugs and then measure the (radiated) blood distribution in the heart at peak stress and later on rest, and sometimes they measure again some hours later after a fatty meal.
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:33:13 AM

@ lilly .. 5 & 6 were also affected by the EQ and subsequent problems, I just can't remember all the details now.. if they have proper circulation on the primary coolant side for the fuel it would be safe in the reactor for the time being until it can be discharged to the canal and then off loaded from the SFP to other storage
by dean 10/24/2011 2:33:22 AM

@dean they stopped cooling each reactor for a while.
It won't let me copy and paste. They have been shutting of residual heat removal devices, mentioned certain ones showing loss of water level or water output. Also something about ceasing use of auxillary seawater injection systems
by lillymunster 10/24/2011 2:35:06 AM

@ Edano, I have knee surgery scheduled for 11-8 and I hope the nuclear stress test is ok enough to allow the knee surgery to proceed... "if" they decide to do the angiogram and possible stent placement would that put off the knee surgery?
by dean 10/24/2011 2:35:11 AM

@lilly .. lets try to get latest information for the 5 & 6 plants, I can work on it tomorrow... and, what would you like me to be working on now?
by dean 10/24/2011 2:36:30 AM

Here is latest on 5-6 with all the pumping changes and stoppages
www.tepco.co.jpMost current plant parameters
www.meti.go.jpLet me know if you see anything unusual.
by lillymunster 10/24/2011 2:37:40 AM

@dean no. after dilatation and stent implantation you are immediately and completely cured. imo the best diagnostic is the catheter. you can see any obstruction that can cause ischaemy and dilatate it at the same time. i am not sure if the nuclear stress test will contribute to a better diagnosis.
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:40:06 AM

reading now @ lilly
by dean 10/24/2011 2:40:24 AM

@ Edano.. I had requested to go straight to the catheter if there were issues but the medical facility wouldn't go that way.. they want the nuclear first... "sigh"
by dean 10/24/2011 2:41:32 AM

@dean okay, this could be a different philosophy than here. as i said, it sounds exotic to me.
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:43:38 AM

i guess they will do the angiography anyway.
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:44:07 AM

@ lilly .. some kind of comment.. "in order to prevent from spontaneous combustion of trees and dust dispersing wer started to sprinkle water in the site of Fuku Daiichi station with cleared-up accumulated water from units 5 & 6 .. hmmmmmmm
by dean 10/24/2011 2:44:21 AM

@ Edano,,, some times the medical system disgusts me here,, they start with taking a temperature and then progress on to this test and then that test and then do the final procedure they knew would have worked from the beginning
by dean 10/24/2011 2:45:34 AM

i had stent implantation 4 times, each time two days in hospital, and when i returned home, i could easily run up the stairs again and chase the children. :)
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:46:39 AM

@dean that would be the water spraying Elaine mentioned a week or so ago.
by lillymunster 10/24/2011 2:47:56 AM

@Edano, I am glad it worked so well.. my grandkids who are 5 and 7 are going to expect me to do the same..
by dean 10/24/2011 2:47:59 AM

@dean yes, nothing to worry about stents. it really helps. but in 5 or 6 years they need to be checked again, because they tend to close again at the edges ("candy wrapper effect").
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:51:54 AM

@Pedro Jesus If the NRC is handling it it would not be a super secret project. Those would be under DOE or DOD.
by lillymunster 10/24/2011 2:52:43 AM

@ Edano, is that true even for the medicated ones?
by dean 10/24/2011 2:52:46 AM

@dean sadly, yes.
onlinelibrary.wiley.com but not always. unluckily, i have that.
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:54:51 AM

@ Edano,,, interesting, some time ago I was going to invest in a company called Boston Scientific who were introducing the medicated stents and I thought a gold mine.. but they got tangled up with a law suit from Johnson and Johnson and their stock flopped.... I will save info on the link and have it ready Wednesday
by dean 10/24/2011 2:57:58 AM

i have had a non-drug eluting stent and i got the candy wrapper effect, and i have had two drug eluting ones and a candy wrapper to a minor degree... there are also radioactive stents, but i would not let them implant them.
by Edano 10/24/2011 2:58:26 AM

@Edano.. I don't want a radioactive one.. my life time does in the nuclear industry was 9 REM so I've had enough for one life...
by dean 10/24/2011 2:59:30 AM

ty @Edano, and all,,, my rest time has come.. see you all tomorrow
