  • An autopsy is either planned or has been done on the worker that died on the 9th. Ryuichi Kino cornered the TEPCO press guy at the last press conference about lying for 2 days about the worker's condition. This also brings up something else strange. The doctor at the plant worked on the guy for 2 hours before sending him to the hospital and he was DOA. The hospital called the police and arranged the autopsy.

The worker was in cardiac arrest right away from what earlier reports said so why where they working on him for 2 hours at TEPCO's medical office? The smells all sorts of suspicious.

  • Video description

Of the books written about nuclear technology through the years, Nukespeak is a classic. A new 30th anniversary edition of Nukespeak has just been published and co-author Rory O'Connor speaks about it. The new edition of Nukespeak has been updated -- with four new chapters -- and added to its title is: The Selling of Nuclear Technology from the Manhattan Project to Fukushima. It tells how nuclear promoters have been -- and continue -- using Orwellian language to try to hide the truth about the deadly dangers of nuclear technology.

  • The first guy that died of a heart attack after heat stroke was kept at the plant for about 2 hours before being transported to the hospital. That is what caused the labor department to show up and make them improve conditions, add the clinic onsite etc. Hmmmmm
    by lillymunster 1/13/2012 1:50:35 AM

  • From the previous worker death. A worker told German media that their dosimeters would error out if they got in an area of high contamination. So if this guy encountered something nasty high and his dosimeter errored out could it conceivably leave him with no record of the exposure?

  • This much is known: The devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on March 11 created a massive amount of debris, some of which was washed back into the ocean as the waters retreated. Prevailing currents are carrying that debris toward the United States. Bookmark and ShareShare

But when and where — if ever — it will wash ashore is still in question, and scientists are still tracking how much is floating toward the West Coast. www.mnn.com

  • @bo, yeah, that was a great interview! Very 'meta'. The author was spot-on on every statement he made. And Tepco in fact referred to each Unit's explosion in the way he noted they referred to the Unit-1 explosion, proving that it was not accidental incredible understand.
