what would be the path, travel, time etc. for inhaled cesium to end up in the blood stream?

They always seem to state what they personal dosimeter reads. We never hear what a whole body count is.
by lillymunster 1/17/2012 7:24:14 PM

well, the causes of heart infarctions are quite clear: genetical disposition, chronic stress, nicotine, cholesterine, diabetes, adipositas. maybe i forgot something, but radiation is surely not a factor, and i cannot see the physiological mechanism for that.
by Edano 1/17/2012 7:27:14 PM

@Edano cesium has a known impact on heart muscle and function but it seems like it has to be high doses.
by lillymunster 1/17/2012 7:33:20 PM

The low levels of cesium in US west coast milk, I wonder what they would find in CA rice?

Apparently today is our busiest day for site traffic since we started the web site. So far November was our busiest month with 28737 views for the month.

@lilly what a nice hashtag to wake up to
by bo 1/18/2012 12:42:38 AM

@lilly I bet the traffic is being brought by the Enenews.com reposting of your story about #4. Also, I used to be in the food business in the bay area and attended the Fancy Food Show every year. I've asked friends still in the business to look for the Tohoku booth and take a pic for me if they see it.

No mention of containment drilling of unit 2 in press releases or plant updates
www.tepco.co.jpby lillymunster 1/18/2012 12:57:57 AM

@bo It is apparently a combination of Rense.com and a bunch of other sites. This site is #2 in referrals with over 1000 alcyone-sapporo.blogspot.com then Enenews only sent 77 referrals. :-) Glad to see some Japanese language referrers fairly high in our traffic.

@lilly nice
by bo 1/18/2012 1:00:35 AM

The time stamp for the website has already rolled over to the 18th about an hour ago. We broke 10,000 views yesterday (17th.) 10099 views in 24 hours. That is the max we ever had so far.

Almost half of our top referrers are Japan domain names
by lillymunster 1/18/2012 1:05:37 AM

@lilly since the folks here are the ones who have to deal with this on an intimate basis everyday, that is no surprise, but still, it is good to see.
by bo 1/18/2012 1:09:37 AM

@bo It is good that we are getting that kind of connection in Japan.

@Ian Google is doing some form of informative protest but are not saying they will shut down function. I don't know if it will include Google owned properties like YouTube or not. I have not heard details on what Wiki's blackout will be like. Will they refer you to the wiki entry for SOPA?
by lillymunster 1/18/2012 2:36:05 AM

This is what i wrote up about SOPA and the other 2 proposed laws that target our online work after suggestions we do something to address the issue since it does seem to have some world wide implications. I also included the Japanese "harmful rumors" law and some related things going on in the UK
www.simplyinfo.orgby lillymunster 1/18/2012 2:56:52 AM

@Ian I see the point of showing people what it would be like if that site was gone. These laws really are horribly written. They were written by lobbyists not anyone with a good understanding of technology. The potential impact is horrible and would have far reaching effects for any web traffic passing through US servers, routing or phone systems. These laws don't just target piracy they would outlaw dissent without any sort of legal recourse if the dissent shows any corporate evidence as proof of the companies wrongdoing.
