is anyone going to comment on ANYTHING I say anymore or should I just leave as has been suggested? I know the shaman thing was a bit "odd", but it was relevant to the conversation that was taking place at the time (which also included astrology). After I spoke, no one has commented on anything I say and much irritation has been voiced about the "shaman thing"... also it's been said I have no credibility anymore. I am hurt by all this. I don't know where else to go. I feel abandoned and everyone in my world here thinks I'm nuts and should be medicated. Why are you holding my personal experience (which is corroborated by the spikes in radiation on those days BTW) against me? I'm sorry to rant, but I am just beside myself. This was the only place I had and I feel like I'm being shut out. (OK rant over- flame away or ignore)

I think that line about the 50's testing was meant to imply that the readings aren't significantly above background soil Pu from that old testing. "Most of it might not even be our plutonium."

@Meretisa this is from my heart: breathe in breathe out relax - sometimes when the scientist are running on overdrive with calculations they are impatient so what I do is sit back and listen/read. @all... sigh. sorry for the flip out. I'm just sensitive I guess. It was hard to share that experience and then get shot down about it later. I'm sorry. I've also been very ill every since (unable to eat nearly anything for like 10+ days) and very obsessed about all this. I'm sorry I flipped. I'm just upset and sick and I felt like I was losing my connection to reality here. The rest of the world seems to be ignoring this and it is driving me nuts. HUGS. Sorry to freak.

@Meretisa I don't think that experience is pariah material at all. My partner and I were woken out of a deep sleep and couldn't go back to sleep. That quake shifted the earth 4 inches on its axis. It's completely in the realm of believability that on some level you could pick that up.

@Meretisa: Maybe, you need to walk away for awhile. I say this with a pure heart. My stress levels were really high on Saturday. Take care of 'yourself' because this is going to go on for a long time, unfortunately. There is nothing that any of us can do but sit and watch in horror.

@Meretisa A LOT of people are freaked out about it. You know who are freaked out the most? THE PEOPLE THAT KNOW THE MOST ABOUT THE INDUSTRY. You have to also realize that there are LOTS of people interested in minimizing this story: TEPCO, GoJ, IAEA, and most of the news media for various reasons. Many on this board are actively trying to minimize it, they are not impartial. Many on this baord are not impartial the other way either (anti-nuclear).

@Jojo : i mean, Pu240 is not in mox rods, and it is not in any decay line. it must be produced by fission. it could mean that there is a fission in spent fuel pool #3.

@Veen Thank you for clarifying webcam info, I missed all that. @Meretisa Nothing personal, but I don't think introducing religion or politics into the discussion is appropriate, and can lead (and usually does) to anger and/or hurt feelings. @Meretisa -- look, I have nothing against spirituality. But that is something nebulous, immeasurable, and unfalsifiable. Right now everyone is focused on the engineering and science - which is the exploration and explanation of hypotheses and theories which are by their nature falsifiable.
