@Markfm I thought there was the ability to test in minutes and hours not days?? Strange that they are unable to do it quicker- you'd think that they'd have the technology to do that- or provided by other places like USA.

@Joshua Diamond When I ask about thoughts as to why people are returning to their homes inside the evac zone how is that not answerable? They are going home and being allowed to it seems- why would the government not enforce it? That was my last question.

At least basic presence can be done much faster, though you lose sensitivity when you go for speed.

@Joshua Diamond They are really tunnels of sorts that lead out to somewhere. They are filled with pipes and electrical conduits. A trench would be open on top these are tunnels

@Jojo : i am quite confused about that plutonium readings. i am looking for a clue to put these things together. it seems that there is a meltdown in #3 spent fuel pool or even a vessel brerach in #3. but i am not clear about that. there must be an explanation for pu240 outside a reactor, damned. of course, it can have been there for 10000 years, but i doubt it.

The government can say they should not go back, continuously, but at the end of the day if the people insist, what is the government to do? I do fault GoJ for not extending the evac to 30 km (at least), but don't fault that they are continuously on-message that the 20 radius is one people should stay out of.

@Joshua Diamond Love your quotes. I'm just concerned that they are hiding that they are very ill and by letting htem return they can blame it on them for returning and not on themselves for exposure in the first place.

I think if people there are returning to their homes, possibly it's because they now know this is not going away, and they figure if they want to get their best possessions, the radiation will only get worse.
