@Rob in SF , stuxnet was geared to attack a specific piece of software that was used to control a highly particular industrial process, that is ultra-centrifugation carried out by a specific brand of machinery. Intimate knowledge of the facilities to be attacked is needed to pull this off. The greatest damage stuxnet inflicted may be that it provided imitators with the howto. U.S. federal lab linked to Stuxnet breached
It is somewhat ironic, then, that the breach was the result of two employees falling for a malicious email containing a link to a page that exploited a remote-code execution vulnerability in the Internet Explorer browser.
Thomas Zacharia, the deputy director of the lab, didn't say what data had been stolen, but he confirmed it was encrypted. He hopes that the investigation will reveal the nature of the data and the destination of the stolen batch.

- I was mentioned in a story in the Asahi Shimbun today. Much of what is cited in the article is new info the reporter discovered (not my info to him) that could be of use to us in figuring out more. One good thing about the mention in Asahi Shimbun is that it shows we are beginning to become part of the mainstream media's GoTo carousel.

There is a mention in the article that TEPCO had some files copied outside their computers due to someone file sharing.
I need someone who knows the Japanese file sharing networks and is fluent in Japanese to go trawling file sharing sites for these documents that got leaked. They could have useful information or blueprints.
