@dean, the first had an upward thrust, the second and third blew out sideways. The upward one was like a cork flying out of a champaign bottle. The cork certainly included pieces of the concrete cover plus, perhaps, the containment cap (still a nagging question whether that cap is still intact). @all Would it be useful if I resynchronized the sound with the video? Took out the delay? Also, have you seen anyone measure the reflection planes from R3 to the faces of R2 and R4 to time the follow-up explosions to see if they're echoes (which I believe they might be.)by radioguy 4/26/2011 3:17:37 PM - I don't think we have any Alblee but it came up in a conversation when we were discussing #3 explosion beginning with or including a prompt critical event...

- Personal take, based on watching and listening over and over: There's the soft, dull explosion, like R1, as the easy-to-blow outer wall blows, but before it even has a chance to get some spread, the pressurized containment blows. Did it all stem from the same source, a criticality outside the RPV? A torus breach might have presented an ignition pathway.by radioguy 4/26/2011 3:25:47 PM
