@fitter (that said I guess this group arose out of the Reuters Live Blog, which was great while it lasted but when it migrated to Facebook I couldn't figure that out either!)
by General Armchair 4/29/2011 12:07:27 AM
i went from the reuters that i was at to the tiny chatroom to here.
by e123 4/29/2011 12:09:31 AM

Blast may have helped cool rods (posted previously) www.yomiuri.co.jp
by Scilla 4/29/2011 12:11:57 AM
As George says, hopefully we'll all be able to gather back here, and it's just a temporary hiccup.
by es 4/29/2011 12:12:58 AM
@e123 Never knew about the "tiny chatroom," have spent a lot of time on HuffPost over past six or seven weeks but they have now moved decisively to completely eradicate discussion of Fukushima there (until the plant decides it wants more attention). Today they even put up two stories from March 13th or so at the top of their Japan Earthquake page.

Is ScribbleLive just doing maintenance on THIS forum??? I was assuming the whole joint would be shut down, but if it is just this one, then the "conspiracy theorists" (grin) definitely have a major point!
by General Armchair 4/29/2011 12:15:02 AM
the tiny chat room was only up for a bit it was a emergency jumping off point from reuters
by e123 4/29/2011 12:15:24 AM
George said the letter spoke of all with our type of accounts
by elainekirk 4/29/2011 12:15:46 AM
@General Armchair "all our granted trial accounts"
by es 4/29/2011 12:16:27 AM
@elainekirk I did check their home page and there is nothing there about upcoming shutdown...hmmmmm @es Ohh, is this like a freebie? Do you normally have to pay for this? (looking around, not seeing much advertising) Hmmmm.
by General Armchair 4/29/2011 12:18:05 AM
I would be willing to throw a 100 dollars at this if it is a money thing.
by e123 4/29/2011 12:19:19 AM
@General Armchair Not sure of the details, but George said he's been given some favourable additions to his free trial product. By all accounts it seems Scribble have been very helpful thus far.
by es 4/29/2011 12:20:43 AM
@e123 : haha, your 100 bucks against tepco, areva and GE. !!!!!!
by Edano 4/29/2011 12:23:09 AM
I would agree with es, scribble has been very generous, and hopefully, we will be back at scribbling here. In the meantime, 24-48 hours is a long time for many of us (addicted to the board) so the forum will ease that pain :)
by Debra Beckham 4/29/2011 12:23:10 AM
dont think that all the money in the world can do much against the truth.
by e123 4/29/2011 12:24:30 AM
@e123 : for sure it can, it always could.
by Edano 4/29/2011 12:25:00 AM

@Debra Beckham I'm VERY grateful for you for fixing our fix. Thanks!
by es 4/29/2011 12:28:17 AM
We did it before and we can do it again!
by General Armchair 4/29/2011 12:29:18 AM
@e123 : slavery is still be going and anumber of other nasty things (like nukes).
by Edano 4/29/2011 12:29:40 AM
(meaning we defeated the nuke industry once, and we are going to do it again!)
by General Armchair 4/29/2011 12:29:55 AM
