  • @General Armchair : yes, that's true. i forgot that, but i remember.
    by Edano 4/28/2011 10:21:30 PM

  • @George Gibb : what ? homeland security ?
    by Edano 4/28/2011 10:22:34 PM

  • @General Armchair Yeah, it's nasty, but we were at war (cold war). now we have to clean up the mess, and not leave it to my kids, and theirs. It's gonna cost some bucks, but it is doable.
    by RBeaner 4/28/2011 10:22:44 PM

  • Well darn, that kind of sucks :(
by General Armchair 4/28/2011 10:22:52 PM

  • @george NONONO :(
    by elainekirk 4/28/2011 10:24:51 PM

  • @George Gibb : they practically close this board ? that's what i feared some days ago.
    by Edano 4/28/2011 10:24:55 PM

  • @General Armchair Sorry, both injection into known damaged RPV's and random spraying on SFP's and reactor areas.
    by RBeaner 4/28/2011 10:25:54 PM

  • @Edano I have a number to call - so I'll do that first thing in the morning
by George Gibb 4/28/2011 10:26:27 PM

  • 24 - 48 hours seems like kind of a long outage, but hopefully the site will be back on time as promised.
by General Armchair 4/28/2011 10:26:30 PM

  • @george how long before it shuts?
    by elainekirk 4/28/2011 10:27:25 PM

  • @General Armchair yes it does seem long but I also had an issue with the archive function so maybe this is also a fix
by George Gibb 4/28/2011 10:27:28 PM

  • @General Armchair : you don't really believe it ?
    by Edano 4/28/2011 10:27:37 PM

  • @elainekirk 9:00 PM EST
by George Gibb 4/28/2011 10:27:55 PM

  • 2 1/2 hrs from now
by George Gibb 4/28/2011 10:28:10 PM

  • I wish there were a way to send a message to all of the scribblers,,,, what will they think? I hope they come back George
    by dean 4/28/2011 10:29:57 PM

  • @Edano I figure it's probably the truth, just 24-48 hours seems a bit longer than I'm used to when other websites have done maintenance it's usually for a few hours or overnight maybe. But I don't have any experience with this site so don't have any reason to suspect it's not straight poop.
by General Armchair 4/28/2011 10:29:59 PM

  • @Edano I'm not attacing Greenpeace, the way the tsunami "attacked" Fukushima, just saying if you want to be my buddy and get along, DON'T call yourself rainbow WARRIOR.
    by RBeaner 4/28/2011 10:30:22 PM

  • The government charges that the damage caused by earthquakes and by the nuclear accident are being magnified by irresponsible rumors, and the government must take action for the sake of the public good. The project team has begun to send “letters of request” to such organizations as telephone companies, internet providers, cable television stations, and others, demanding that they “take adequate measures based on the guidelines in response to illegal information. ”The measures include erasing any information from internet sites that the authorities deem harmful to public order and morality.

  • @Edano - Yeah exactly that. Good call.
    by Lethbridgean 4/28/2011 10:38:02 PM

  • @edano that is in Japan all they can try to do elsewhere is issue cease and desist notices. Scribble would be a hard site to bully I would think
    by elainekirk 4/28/2011 10:38:07 PM

  • Having said all that if they did take us down they would find themselves fighting a losing battle because we are in more places than scribble they would be chasing us like blue arsed flies
    by elainekirk 4/28/2011 10:40:39 PM

  • Rgarding the Sandbags, this is designed to provide protection to the wast processing facility. (designed might be to scientific a word) The fact is this, and no other processing facility is designed to take this level of radioactivity and salts. It has never been done. Look what the US did www.parsons.com to try to deal with chlorided radioactive liquids. It is unbelievably complex for processing. Most radioactive liguids that are processed are almost pure water. De-ionized. This stuff is nasty and dirty.
    by RBeaner 4/28/2011 10:41:20 PM

  • @elainekirk : what places ?
    by Edano 4/28/2011 10:43:20 PM

  • @edano tsunamioftears.com
    by elainekirk 4/28/2011 10:44:08 PM

  • @elainekirk no worries
by George Gibb 4/28/2011 10:46:05 PM

  • Thanks, @elainekirk. And, preferably, scattered in multi-country sited servers, so there's an added layer of bureaucracy in their way.

    by Edano 4/28/2011 11:28:20 PM

  • around 1:00:00 Nishiyama says the neutron beams are from outer space and feels it is "unlikely" there is any recriticality. Good enough for me! I mean it's not like Nishiyama has proven to be in any way disingenuous or slippery in the past, right?

by General Armchair 4/28/2011 11:35:05 PM
