@fitter I was in the US at the time of 9/11, and in my kids school I can't image they were prepared for a chemical attack. But then again, the more real threat was a shooter. My kids drilled repeatedly for that, and that is what I feared for when they left in the morning.

@fitter I remember it well. It was horrifying. I was referring to school shooters. Having kids in high school in the 90s and 00s was very stressful because of all the school shootings. I can't imagine being in the DC area, and having kids around town, during that time.

@bo HEPA (High Efficiency Particlate Air filters) remove 99.97% of particles the size of typical radioactive airborne particles. The activated carbon filter is capable of filtering out gasses.
This one looks good www.amazon.com depending on the size of your living space.

The Negative and Positive pressure aspect really only comes into effect if you are ventilating to or from the outdoors. An area air filter such as above or www.air-purifiers-america.com won't significantly change inside air pressure.

You would just close off ventilation and air flow from outside, turn on the air filter, and reuse the indoor air for a while.

@bo check the selflife and manufacture date on the equipt and filter.... don't know about them but weird things like tires even have a shelf life

@endo sorry so long getting back.... Yes they are not going to take a new or 10 year old NPP off line, but they need to make improvmets.. address the SFPs and in the US we need to concentrate on the UP poweres and getting rid of the Mark 1 containments as a min

@elainekirk that is different. The SFP is on the far right side of the building. The camera views the corner of the building and a bit more of the side. The area of the SFP would be about the last 1/4 of the building to the right.

I need a computer app that displays the time in JST. I thought it would still be light there right now.
