If you crop the video that smos posted a feww posts back you get the same viewpoint as live cam. Must be taken from same place. I am still not sure where horizon is, but it doesn't look like the horizon could be above the towers.by Cat 5/7/2011 10:18:00 AM- @elainekirk where is the pic? Can the SFP be clearly seen? There is little doubt that if the building did come down, the catastrophe would have a cascading effect. First, all of those fuel rods scattered willy nilly, with no remaining chance to cool them, much less recover them. I find the former Fuku Gov Sato story interesting, apparently he resisted TEPCo Nuc dev, and ended up framed in prison...
The Tokyo District Court sentenced former Fukushima Gov Eisaku Sato to three years in prison, suspended for five years, on Friday for taking a bribe from a construction contractor in connection with a public works project financed by the prefectural government.
The court also sentenced his younger brother Yuji Sato, who ran a struggling apparel company, to two years and six months in prison, suspended for five years, as a conspirator in the case. The brother was also ordered to pay a fine of about 70 million yen.

- As a historian I have been struck all along by the fact that it is "fuku" shima. After the Bravo nuclear test at Bikini in 1954 the Japanese tuna trawler that was exposed to high levels of fallout was the Fukuryu Maru - The "fortunate" dragon. This plant is the "fortunate" island plant. It is the same kanji, and though it means "lucky" I think it has started to mean unlucky.by bo 5/7/2011 10:46:08 AM
