  • @bo what is the live event
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:30:27 PM

  • @fitter it is an interview about my academic work, and everyone can ask questions. I'm sure Fukushima stuff will come up too. My own work is on the social and cultural history of nuclear weapons and preparations for nuclear war in the US, and also a cross-cultural study of hibakusha communities around the globe
    by bo 5/7/2011 3:31:52 PM

  • tippycan - all 3 steaming 3 is really bad
    by UKVal 5/7/2011 3:32:35 PM

  • You can find out more about my work here: bojacobs.net
    by bo 5/7/2011 3:32:41 PM

  • @UKVal and now #4 also on tippycam
    by bo 5/7/2011 3:33:22 PM

  • @UKVal there seems to be much more light focused on three and four, it could be angle but does't look like it
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:34:33 PM

  • this is it it surely cant get any worse do you think they gave up and the #1 farce was just to distract people to prevent intervention
    by elainekirk 5/7/2011 3:35:39 PM

  • @fitter -agreed -the lighting is different to the the other night.
    by UKVal 5/7/2011 3:35:56 PM

  • @bo do you know what time in east coast and do you need skype or anything??? btw from the cam shots looks funny at three and four go get your air filters
It is just past midnight in Japan fitter
by fitter edited by elainekirk 5/7/2011 3:36:19 PM

  • dirty smoke now from #4
    by elainekirk 5/7/2011 3:36:28 PM

  • i55.tinypic.com

Crappy res, no fix, just for placement.

    by radioguy via I55.tinypic 5/7/2011 3:37:02 PM

  • @elainekirk how can you tell it is dirty?
    by Nancy 5/7/2011 3:37:07 PM

  • 3 -south side - is that something sticking out -hard to tell
    by UKVal 5/7/2011 3:37:13 PM

  • @fitter it is at 8 pm east coast time and you don't need skype or anything, it is in chat format just like this
    by bo 5/7/2011 3:37:20 PM

  • @nancy a load blew into the light and it didnt look like 3's
    by elainekirk 5/7/2011 3:38:09 PM

  • @fitter sorry time always catches me out :)
    by elainekirk 5/7/2011 3:39:38 PM

  • @bo from the cam shots the predition may be happing..... something seems to be going on weather its intentional or not, looks strange... is there ant thing on your media
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:40:38 PM

  • - I thimk that's dark smoke coming from centre of 3
    by UKVal 5/7/2011 3:41:26 PM

  • @elainekirk i think the gremlis are back i just got kicked to the other page, but im back.... cam looks nasty
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:41:45 PM

  • i51.tinypic.com

    R4 same deal

    by radioguy via I51.tinypic 5/7/2011 3:41:47 PM

  • @fitter absolutely not, nothing at all. There is never any reporting about what is being observed via webcam.
    by bo 5/7/2011 3:42:08 PM

  • @elainekirk why so much light on 3/4 if the plan is to get 1 cooled... sound strange
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:43:02 PM

  • @fitter and it is after midnight, so it is the 8th, the day the release was predicted
    by bo 5/7/2011 3:43:16 PM

  • Hmm. Wind is from south blowing north. I can see the moved over watering boom. The spotlights seem to have an extra concentration on #4 by the SFP
    by Nancy 5/7/2011 3:43:22 PM

  • @Nancy way to much lite focused on 3/4
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:44:56 PM

  • How strange. The red crane on 4 seems to be bent in half and stuck inside the building just above the work deck but to the left of the SFP.
    by Nancy 5/7/2011 3:45:42 PM

  • @Nancy expect the cam will shut down soon, who owns it and is the tepco cam still up
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:46:01 PM

  • Safecast readings at the monitors closest appear to be high: www.safecast.org
    by bo 5/7/2011 3:46:10 PM

  • What time do we get the new reactor data?
    by Nancy 5/7/2011 3:46:11 PM

  • @fitter teppycam still running. I don't know about TBS shutting down. They are actually investigating and trying to get real info past TEPCO's standard BS.
    by Nancy 5/7/2011 3:46:56 PM

  • @Nancy it has seemed lowered latley don't know why
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:47:22 PM

  • @Nancy do you have link to tepco you can post
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:48:07 PM

  • by Nancy 5/7/2011 3:48:56 PM

  • @Nancy it also seems to have nuckle boom, goes in more directions than just up and down
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:49:33 PM

  • @fitter If the items on the work deck are less of an issue or not the current concern, putting the water crane right down into the pool might make things go faster? Still seems a bit too far to the left. A knuckle joint might explain it though.
    by Nancy 5/7/2011 3:50:24 PM

  • @Nancy re crane I couldnt work out what had happened thank you for explanation
    by elainekirk 5/7/2011 3:50:28 PM

  • You can kind of see it in Radioguy's picture posted below. At least the blurry red sticks out enough to place it.
    by Nancy 5/7/2011 3:51:25 PM

  • @elainekirk is the tepco cam showing anything
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:51:31 PM

  • wonder if plan is to do the spraying now to make it easier for workers to concentrate on 1 later today
    by UKVal 5/7/2011 3:51:32 PM

  • at Marie's request I am reposting this, You should all watch the link I posted earlier, interview with science/ parliament lady. therealnews.com
by Debra Beckham 5/7/2011 3:52:02 PM

  • Watching tippycam on full screen I keep expecting to see Godzilla come up from the sea
    by bo 5/7/2011 3:52:52 PM

  • i think they have something else going on, why they moved the pumper is ???????
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:52:53 PM

  • @bo same here!!!!! does anyone know if the readinds are high there
    by fitter 5/7/2011 3:53:59 PM

  • Look at this old photo of 4. It looks like they moved the crane over a bit and put it into the pool directly in the video images.

  • @Debra Beckham one of the things to point out about that interview is that Tanioko-san is a member of the Democratic Party, while most who snipe at the PM are LDP.
