Tokyo Electric Power Company has started preparations to cover the damaged Number 1 reactor building at the Fukushima Daiichi plant. The company aims to decrease the amount of nuclear materials leaking into the air.

@Edano I met up with some visiting German friends earlier this week and was impressed at their in-depth knowledge of, and concern over, events in Japan. Unlike here where we don't hear a thing from the media, they tell me it's never out of their news.
