Not sure if this one from NHK was posted. Fukushima Daiichi plant worker dies

A worker at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant fell unconscious at work on Saturday and later died.

The worker in his 60s complained of ill health while working at a waste processing facility. He worked for a subcontracting firm of Tokyo Electric Power Company.

The man was taken to a medical office in the plant, where he was found to have lost consciousness. He was then taken by ambulance to a hospital in Iwaki City and confirmed dead shortly after 9:30 AM. The cause of his death is unknown.

Tokyo Electric says the worker had been transporting equipment since Friday. He was scheduled to work for 3 hours from 6:00 AM on Saturday.

1) contaminants such as pesticides/herbicides and overflow from sanitary sewage systems and
2) overburden of sand/silt.

Many pesticide/herbicides bind to soil particles and thus hang around for a really long time.

None of the natural plants would make natural seeds, Monsanto does not want that, they cannot charge for seeds like that.

@Ralph Unger - Hate to burst your bubble but it already has, the pollen from one field gets into non-Monsanto crop in an adjacent field and bingo-presto now you have monsanto patented genes into another farmers crop. Has proved very lucrative in the court of law when Monsanto takes said innocent farmer to court because of "Unauthorized use of a patented product" .HAHAHA isn't life a bee-atch.

@NervousinNJ tower looks straight to me. I notice a tall sunlit pole at an angle to the left of #4 partly in front of #3. Given it seems 4 was leaning more, I wonder of this pole is pulling the top corner of 4 against its lean. www.youtube.com

@Ian Did you take the straight edge to it? I copied a screen shot into Photoshop and used the ruler guide lines, and the tower is def. leaning to the right. R3 is as well, barely. IDK, maybe it's been that way and I just went looking for it now, but it worries me...

@Angie That's when I noticed this, right after te 6.2. But then again, I was looking more closely because of it, so who knows. But I swear R3 and the tower near it have a definite lean! Or I am losing my mind, which is a distict possibility ;P It is almost 2:30 am here and way past time for me to go to bed, goodnight :)

Hamaoka nuclear reactor completely shut down

SHIZUOKA, Japan, May 14, Kyodo

The Hamaoka nuclear power plant was completely shut down Saturday following an unprecedented request by the government due to fears of a large earthquake possibly hitting the area on an active major fault line, the operator said.

Chubu Electric Power Co. said it hopes to resume the plant in Shizuoka Prefecture soon after taking measures to block quake-triggered tsunami waves but Gov. Heita Kawakatsu remains cautious about the idea. The government said the suspension will last for two to three years.

Power generation was halted at 10:15 a.m. at the No. 5 unit, the last active reactor at the plant in Omaezaki about 180 kilometers southwest of Tokyo. Atomic fission was completely stopped in the early afternoon after the utility put all 205 control rods into the reactor's core.
