@estacion it did this yesterday am & was ok after
by UKVal 5/21/2011 6:58:42 PM
@estacion -saw some close ups of local trees half an hour afterwards yesterday am & these were normal pics
by UKVal 5/21/2011 6:59:59 PM
@estacion, if that is the case, then they will have to evacuate the plant, and all bets are off on the other units !!!!!

Maybe the event this morning burnt out the CCD thingy?

Sunrise in about an hour ?
by wtm 5/21/2011 7:00:40 PM

We should know in a few hours if the camera is toast or if there are incidents of some variety. I wouldn't be surprised if the camera was damaged.

This cam have stepped auto gain, the circuit is broken. I am reffering the cam unit :)
by estacion 5/21/2011 7:01:03 PM
@Nancy then how come the same thing happened yesterday & the cam was ok?
by UKVal 5/21/2011 7:02:00 PM
if you look at an angle you can see the plant
by UKVal 5/21/2011 7:02:42 PM
OR they have done a massive vent in the middle of the night when nobody can see it !
by wtm 5/21/2011 7:02:43 PM
Cam decides when auto switch for less gain, this is clearly badworking now.
by estacion 5/21/2011 7:03:20 PM
Wish they went back to the pink filter, saw more...
by wtm 5/21/2011 7:03:38 PM
@UKVal that being my point, if the cam is toast it should continue to have issues in daylight. We should be logging all the odd events so we can document the pattern. Will help in sorting it out. I would ask Marie her opinion when she shows up.

the size of the aura just shrunk suddenly
by UKVal 5/21/2011 7:04:12 PM
I would say it was a massive dump from #3, the crud filters down into the valleys between the cam and the plant blocking the view.
