  • @Majj That's a mighty big spike at the end there. How bad is this, in oh-shit terms?
    by Paul 5/22/2011 10:18:04 PM

  • @Majj gosh that looks really bad!
    by UKVal 5/22/2011 10:18:25 PM

  • @Paul I just find it ,sorry . I can't interpretate ...
    by Majj 5/22/2011 10:19:54 PM

  • @Majj Well I for one don't know my arse from my Rads, but maybe we don't need to, looking at that leap. I'm sure we'd be told it's still well below the safety limits mind, or of no immediate danger to health ;)
    by Paul 5/22/2011 10:23:44 PM

  • @UKVal @Paul Atto curie = 10^-18 Curies...or... .000000000000000001 Curies
It looks small, but we're still talking about Plutonium.
    by Reed 5/22/2011 10:24:14 PM

  • @Nancy re email addresses. Would it be possible for the Mods to have a list of those willing to share their email address with others if this was done via a 'letterbox arrangement' with the Mods? or is that too much to ask? It might be useful if people aren't in touch for a while or the site goes down...
    by UKVal 5/22/2011 10:24:36 PM

  • @Nancy ty do you have any ideal whay name to look for? does he ever come here? is scribble having gremblins or me thr post keep dissapearing then coming back????
    by fitter 5/22/2011 10:25:11 PM

  • @fitter I came across a pdf of a technical manual of a GE BWR reactor, and Dean thought that you would like to see it. If you want, I'll find it for you.
    by Reed 5/22/2011 10:29:02 PM

  • @UKVal there was some discussion after the shut down panic of creating a mailing list so people could be contacted. I can see if Wordpress has such a feature or there might be the ability to do something like that on the Tsunamioftears forum
    by Nancy 5/22/2011 10:29:16 PM

  • @Nancy Wordpress has it by default... you need to enter a valid email to comment.
    by RadioGuy 5/22/2011 10:30:58 PM

  • I have been wondering why Tepco is illuminating the plants after dark. They weren't doing that at the beginning of the crisis, were they? Part of me thinks that they're doing it specifically so that you *can't* make out the blue light. I also think they're doing something under cover of darkness on Saturday night, when viewership of media and the internet are the lowest. We had steam or smoke incidents on both May 7 and May 21.
    by bojack54 5/22/2011 10:32:28 PM

  • Edano I can give you the table your looking for .. the link to what I did

  • @fitter Sure, just let me know when, and I'll find it for you.
    by Reed 5/22/2011 10:33:14 PM

  • I suspect they also lit the r1/r2 and the r4 lights to minimize the smoke visibility from r3.
    by RadioGuy 5/22/2011 10:34:04 PM

  • @dean hi tried to read your paper, but got a computor reading that i don't have disk space...getting one now.. DID YOU HEAR about the guy chained to a boat out side surry?
    by fitter 5/22/2011 10:35:19 PM

  • @RadioGuy @Nancy great! problem solved. People like Jo & Fitter are too valuable to lose touch with , unless they choose to leave... Can't imagine circs in which people would want to get in touch with me as I'm no expert, but I guess it might happen
