  • @ Nancy That's how you spell doh from the Simpsons.
    by carabnr 5/26/2011 12:07:09 AM

  • @wtm The end of that on the outside of the sea wall is a water outlet for the reactors
    by Nancy 5/26/2011 12:07:17 AM

  • @carabnr DOH!
    by Nancy 5/26/2011 12:07:31 AM

  • hi fitter.. in the reactor vessel it ranges from ambient temp to around 570 degrees when operating
    by dean 5/26/2011 12:09:10 AM

  • @dean what is the vertical growth of the vessel between the two temps...
fitter have you got that link i just pinned it isnt the support one but thought you would like it??
by fitter edited by elainekirk 5/26/2011 12:10:24 AM

  • @dean does iy have any insulation or fire brick of sorts??
    by fitter 5/26/2011 12:11:20 AM

  • @dean hi dean
    by fitter 5/26/2011 12:11:46 AM

  • hi fitter..
    by dean 5/26/2011 12:11:55 AM

  • give me a bit .. still emailing ..
    by dean 5/26/2011 12:12:06 AM

  • @dean would you ask if your reactor has a vertical growth relatrd to temp difference
    by fitter 5/26/2011 12:13:05 AM

  • yes fitter.. will be back in about 20 mins or so
    by dean 5/26/2011 12:13:34 AM

  • @dean ok trying to figure how you support horizontal, but still allow for expansion in vertical direction
    by fitter 5/26/2011 12:15:05 AM

  • @fitter thats what the paper i am trying to find explains - because the pipe is held in position the inbetween bits expand and that causes 'pooling'
    by elainekirk 5/26/2011 12:17:32 AM

  • @elainekirk not sure what the last part says? can you clairify, i may know the pipe answer
    by fitter 5/26/2011 12:19:08 AM

  • @fitter - the "coefficient of expansion" is the term your looking for. I will explain this to you if Dean can't but right now I am getting yelled at for supper.
    by Lethbridgean 5/26/2011 12:20:17 AM

  • @fitter I need to find the paper because there is some reaction at the point of support too.
    by elainekirk 5/26/2011 12:20:36 AM

  • @elainekirk are you referinging to vents?
    by fitter 5/26/2011 12:20:59 AM

  • @Lethbridgean i know the theroy, was looking for the math, gremlins comming
    by fitter 5/26/2011 12:21:47 AM

  • @elainekirk i have gtemblins again but will caught you tommarrow,, i have about one more warnig before i frezze up
    by fitter 5/26/2011 12:22:59 AM

    by elainekirk 5/26/2011 12:24:06 AM

  • @elainekirk ty for post, pretty sure i know what youe looking for in theroy, but pc will not type
    by fitter 5/26/2011 12:24:35 AM

  • Have you got this link from the pins fitter www.nrc.gov
    by elainekirk 5/26/2011 12:29:39 AM

  • @Fitter, get that thing over to the PC shop before it self detructs
    by wtm 5/26/2011 12:30:57 AM

  • Sorry can't type fast ??

  • @edano they are cool are they going on the website?
    by elainekirk 5/26/2011 12:49:28 AM

  • #1 readings are chaotic.
    by Edano 5/26/2011 12:49:41 AM

  • @elainekirk : if you want to :)
    by Edano 5/26/2011 12:50:01 AM

  • i made a program so i can update them everyday. they are not as nice as stolphi's, but better than all i've seen in last time.
    by Edano 5/26/2011 12:51:29 AM

  • @edano others are doing the website I am just itching to start spreading the link to it when they say it is ready:)
    by elainekirk 5/26/2011 12:51:30 AM

  • @edano I am impressed I understand data much better in graph form
    by elainekirk 5/26/2011 12:53:16 AM

  • the time scale is not linear, because the number of readings differs every day. every pixel is one day.
    by Edano 5/26/2011 12:53:28 AM

  • @Edano let me or radio guy know what we have to put on the web page to get the output to display
    by Nancy 5/26/2011 12:53:58 AM

  • @elainekirk : me too, i cannot understand the pure numbers.
    by Edano 5/26/2011 12:53:58 AM

  • @Edano - Is your radiation units in seiverts per hour? Sv/hr?
    by Lethbridgean 5/26/2011 12:54:43 AM

  • @Nancy : as for now, please take the links. i have to work a bit to plot the other data as well. it is not ready yet.
    by Edano 5/26/2011 12:55:42 AM

  • @Lethbridgean : yes, Sv/hour
    by Edano 5/26/2011 12:55:55 AM

  • does this mean radiation IS going down??
    by skibboy 5/26/2011 12:55:59 AM

  • www-pub.iaea.org some info on bellows on containments and nozzles.
    by dean 5/26/2011 12:56:09 AM

  • @skibboy : up and down, i would say.
    by Edano 5/26/2011 12:57:11 AM

  • @Edano let me know when you have something automatic, can put these on in the mean time.
