 There is little data on this class of steels in salt or

After that, no increase of the blot has been confirmed."

  • TEPCO forced to halt water treatment system again

    TOKYO, June 29, Kyodo

Tokyo Electric Power Co. said Wednesday that it was forced to suspend operation again of a newly installed radioactive water treatment system at its crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant after an alarm warning of a water leak sounded.

But the utility, known as TEPCO, continued operations to cool the troubled nuclear reactors at the power plant using decontaminated water from the new system, company officials said.

The latest suspension came immediately after TEPCO resumed operation of the ''circulating injection cooling'' system, which was halted earlier in the day due to water leakage from holes in a hose connecting a storage tank and a pump that sends water to the reactors.
