in addition to the workers.. every one who is inside the fukushima must wear a dosimeter and film badge... then.. as they go to higher level zones they must have additional dosimetry like that one lilly showed

@nuckelchen at Fukushima Daini (the plant that didn't melt down) they have a sports complex with a gym, some buildings and sport fields etc. They set up a base camp at J Village to eat, sleep, do things that they don't need to do at the power plant because it is safer there.

@dean when I worked as an xray tech we had film badges.

it's 20 km from daiichi, too far away for medical emergencies !
by Edano 7/12/2011 3:17:20 AM

@nuckelchen some of the workers said things got a bit better when there was media attention and the labor ministry was there. Started to be less so again. Making them pay for their meals.
by lillymunster 7/12/2011 3:17:48 AM

rest calls.. I will return..
by dean 7/12/2011 3:18:46 AM

@Edano they added some sort of medical first aid room at Daichi. I think it is up by units 5-6.

@nuckelchen LOL. I wish we had more 3rd party information what things are like. We find out information from workers from time to time.
by lillymunster 7/12/2011 3:22:53 AM

at least labour ministry responds to complaints. we should complain more.
by Edano 7/12/2011 3:25:18 AM

@nuckelchen information comes out various ways. There should be more ongoing public accountability.
by lillymunster 7/12/2011 3:25:37 AM

they need a helicopter !
by Edano 7/12/2011 3:25:40 AM

meals
by Edano 7/12/2011 3:26:14 AM

@Edano hmm maybe we need to figure out how to file a complaint?
Yea, a helicopter would be a good idea given the distance out.
by lillymunster 7/12/2011 3:26:34 AM

@nuckelchen workers are having issues drinking enough. They can't drink with masks and can't always be in a safe building to drink.
by lillymunster 7/12/2011 3:28:04 AM

@nuckelchen at J Village at Daini - not at Daiichi.
by lillymunster 7/12/2011 3:30:18 AM

@nuckelchen these images I have from a worker, not from TEPCO - at J Village at Daini
