Wow. I saw something last night about the readings being taken down but I just assumed the blog might have had the reading wrong. Yikes. I will get something written up after I take hubby to work. So they didn't give these kids iodine and one ended up with 35uSv or mSv?

Edano, obviously that kind of level concentrated in the thyroid is different than a whole body thing. If there is anything you can add related to the medical implications that would be helpful for the write up.

@lillymunster : the 35 mSv is the calculated exposure dose, a corresponding dose. it is not measured in the body. so it is an interpretation of the measuring. i don't think we will be able to see the basic measurings.

@Edano how many children have been measured and what were their readings? as I remember they were testing x number of people from each area and then using the results to find a medium to base calculations on so what the heck were the readings if they think 4yr olds would get that dose or am I showing a lack of understanding?...coffee time

@Edano well tepco were made to put a whole body counter in at fuku but there is no way that those workers get fortnightly checks I think they are still working through they have not done march -april completely yet PLUS I would like to see the one at fuku because a couple of weeks ago a worker had to travel across country to have a wbc sent by tepco
