@lilly I am waiting for edano so we can suggest he becomes a split personality but I think he has gone out to lunch with veenie, they must be eating because @bo and I tried tempting veenie out with offers of food and it didnt work
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 11:25:26 AM

@elainekirk :-) Looking at the talks about steam and cracks. There is a news video of the high rad vent pipe. There is a clip in that showing steam coming out of pipe in the ground will see if I can find
by lillymunster 8/17/2011 11:31:03 AM

@lillymunster that would be good
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 11:34:47 AM

This is the video itself. Ian said this is the original they were cutting into the vent pipe reports. This is interior steam up from basements to 1st floor inside, the news report I saw made it look like it was in an outbuilding the way they edited it.
by lillymunster 8/17/2011 11:44:49 AM

@lillymunster ah I believe the workers but as with everything else they are by witholding information creating a stuation where people are fighting amongst themselves that video from tepco today takes propoganda to a whole new (low) level
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 11:48:13 AM

Edano, you lurking about?
by lillymunster 8/17/2011 11:50:48 AM

@lillymunster vivre just said on org that leakspinners account on youtube has closed
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 11:51:12 AM

@elainekirk Ian mentioned that last night. It looks like he closed it rather than YouTube shutting it down. Ian was trying to contact him through his website to find out why he shut it down. If he was intimidated into doing so everyone who is working online to share information needs to know about it.
by lillymunster 8/17/2011 11:59:14 AM

@lillymunster this is getting nasty
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:05:43 PM

@elainekirk I noticed many of the user videos from Japan were on more obscure video sharing sites like dailymotion if need be people can self host videos. That makes TEPCO etc trying to take them down a million times harder. It is a huge time consuming task to force someone to take content down from a website they own. There is always the option to start putting videos and other content into peer to peer file sharing networks. That is pretty impossible to stop as copies end up multiplying all over the world.
The problem is that if people get pushed off of easy to use sites like YouTube then only people with the technical skills to produce their own web content will be putting things online. Average users will have a harder time.
by lillymunster 8/17/2011 12:10:43 PM

@lillymunster yes you are truly a marvel and everyoner who works on simplyinfo I will try to learn how to help

@dean greetings
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:27:37 PM

@ elaine, any more information on the steam coming out of the ground?
by dean 8/17/2011 12:31:21 PM

@dean nothing there seems to be debate on whether to spill the beans or not among the workers from what I can tell on twitter no denials just what course of action is best from worker point of view
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:33:42 PM

@Majj yes very very very true
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:34:13 PM

@dean from the people point of view they are getting frightened they see no end to the radiation readings of .2 - .6 are the norm even in the chiba area, the ministry of education came to fuku to talk to the children and ignored all their questions and refused to engage in conversation - in other words it was just an exercise in making video (edited) to present them to the world as caring
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:38:20 PM

@Majj yes they have polluted the globe and there should be a global response
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:38:53 PM

@ikrockhopper you are naughty you should be asleep
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:40:03 PM

@ elaine, I found something that says japan had passed a Law To Cleanse The Internet Of “Bad” Fukushima News.
by dean 8/17/2011 12:40:39 PM

@ikrockhopper how is your migraine? RT wanted to interview him about the steam from the ground
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:40:44 PM

@ikrockhopper he didnt want to do anything to harm the workers or upset them I think he is going ahead bearing that in mind , the cracks in the ground that workers I will find the link
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:42:43 PM

@ikrockhopper it is this story
fukushima-diary.com by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:43:18 PM

@dean have you got a link?
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:43:28 PM

by dean 8/17/2011 12:45:24 PM

@ikrockhopper who knowws really what is true, if Tepco werent so silly , if the government were more honest....
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:46:41 PM

@ikrockhopper those with the information are creating fear I think people can handle information far better than rumour
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:47:32 PM

www.examiner.com another one @ elaine
by dean 8/17/2011 12:47:56 PM

@dean the law was passed months ago, it was the internet censorship thing that was to stop "rumor". It isn't any new one.
by lillymunster 8/17/2011 12:47:58 PM

@ikrockhopper so that article is basically a load of codswallop
by elainekirk 8/17/2011 12:48:16 PM

@ lilly .. I was just wondering if some further law or increased censorship was going on
