by dean 10/5/2011 12:04:03 AM

@Edano Last time I was in the hospital I convinced people to bring me food. I see the pizza guy up at the local hospital all the time.
by lillymunster 10/5/2011 12:04:20 AM

by dean 10/5/2011 12:04:28 AM

@lillymunster okay, i'll do that or i will starve.
by Edano 10/5/2011 12:04:45 AM

Edano.. you have a laptop.. maybe you could just order from bed
by dean 10/5/2011 12:05:29 AM

I told my orthopedic doc that I will be off for 6 months so maybe now's the time to get fixed up .. but I told him.. I'm racing in the olympics next july so he better put something in that will win
by dean 10/5/2011 12:06:55 AM

by Edano 10/5/2011 12:07:41 AM

@dean asked the hubby, he said one way they fix that is to replace it with a synthetic pad that looks like a mini breast implant bag. Meniscus tear is about the only thing he hasn't wrecked in his knees.
by lillymunster 10/5/2011 12:08:45 AM

checking now
by dean 10/5/2011 12:09:08 AM

@lilly.. that's on my left knee.. dang my right knee was ready for the replacement. .
by dean 10/5/2011 12:09:36 AM

@dean he found some really interesting advanced things they are doing with knees. They can do partial replacements on some knees where they only replace the section that is worn down. I can see if he has links I can email.
by lillymunster 10/5/2011 12:11:13 AM

@Edano what topping do you like on your pizza
by elainekirk 10/5/2011 12:11:53 AM

@all. I remember Majj mentioned something about leaving to go get his boat. I can't remember when he was leaving....

ty lilly
by dean 10/5/2011 12:12:36 AM

@elainekirk i like calzone or tuna, or chicken and curry.
by Edano 10/5/2011 12:12:37 AM

good article @Edano... a relative of mine tried the partial knee and that goofed things up so he had to do the total...
by dean 10/5/2011 12:13:22 AM

when you are a footballer, they repair the meniscus within 2 weeks. but you need a witch doctor and lot of money.
by Edano 10/5/2011 12:13:47 AM

yes
by dean 10/5/2011 12:14:09 AM

Regenexx-SCP Patient Back to Training Hard
John S. benefited from Regenexx-SCP after a snow mobile accident caused a torn medial meniscus and MCL. "...I'm back on the road bike logging lots of base miles and looking forward to a great cycling season! Thanks Doc! NO SURGERY NEEDED!" Continue Reading

Stem Cells for a Knee Meniscus TearJS is a middle aged cyclist who was seen in February of this year for an acute meniscus tear. He was already scheduled for surgery to have the torn piece of his meniscus cut out, when his research showed that he may need that meniscus intact some day. As a result, he contacted our clinic and we performed a Regenexx-SCP procedure under ultrasound guidance. In the procedure we took blood from his arm and processed it in such a way as to preserve the circulating blood stem cells as well as his own platelets. His procedure was almost 6 months ago (this is an update) and not only has he had excellent pain relief, but he’s returned to a very active cycling season. This was all done without extended downtime (he had none) and without rehab. He’s wearing his new Regenexx stem cell procedure jersey (see above). We’re thinking of starting a cycling team now with patients who have their knees treated with stem cells and we’re able to avoid knee surgery (see prior cycling patients treated with their own stem cells). They may not yet be able to challenge Lance, but at least they can all claim to have no arthroscopy scars!

this was on twitter thought I would pass it on

@elainekirk @elainekirk @elainekirk A small step, they are deferring a decision on compensation for those that left later on. I think they may eventually compensate them also. The logic of fleeing in a panic for those that left right away. Realizing the govt. is lying and the situation is worse than previously told is a rational action also. I think the ever expanding contamination map is going to pressure the govt into not being able to deny anymore
by lillymunster 10/5/2011 1:44:35 AM

Matsumoto school board will test school lunches themselves and use 40bq/kg food limit since that was the food limit in Ukraine after Chernobyl, rather than the 500 bq/kg govt. standard.
