  • Back on the witchhunt again. Nothing about Fukushima....
    by lillymunster 12/15/2011 5:10:17 PM

  • Now discussing female workers being driven to tears. The republican senators are doing an excellent job not talking about Fukushima and nuclear risk. That is what this is supposed to be about.
    by lillymunster 12/15/2011 5:18:42 PM

  • This meeting is a total waste of time. The republican senators keep bringing it back to the staff drama every time they get the floor.
    by lillymunster 12/15/2011 5:21:30 PM

  • Now Boxer is fighting with another senator because he used all his time and wanted more. Now Sanders complaining about the constant redirect to staff drama and not being on task for Fukushima Safety.

    by MaryW 12/15/2011 5:24:47 PM

  • Oooh Maywood looks very nervous replying Maywood refuses to answer Sanders' question that Maywood wants the head slot on the board
    by lillymunster 12/15/2011 5:25:36 PM

    by Peter 12/15/2011 5:33:33 PM

  • NRC, Nuclear Regulatory Commission,(Congress, Jaczko) Hearing. LIVE. NOW. www.c-span.org
    by MaryW 12/15/2011 5:35:01 PM

  • @Peter In my opinion, I feel the Congressional NRC Hearing is the Best thing that could have happened!! It is finally bringing awareness to, not only the Fukushima nuclear incident, but all nuclear power plant dangers. I concern is, why is this not televised as a breaking news event?
    by MaryW 12/15/2011 5:49:04 PM

  • @Peter Bingo!
    by lillymunster 12/15/2011 5:51:57 PM

    by lillymunster 12/15/2011 5:55:51 PM

  • Let us hope that Mary is right and the hearings steer some media attention to the issue. I find it astounding how unprepared some Congress members come to these hearings.

Boxer - chairman checked w/ gen counsel before taking actions and was told his actions were allowable. Confidential survey of agency, NRC rated 1 on leadership 1 in fairness out of agencies.

Sent NRC letter importance of transparency and fast action on task force. Says nightmare it would take 10 years to change anything. Committee member asking Inhoffer to write counter letter, maywood did it.
    by lillymunster 12/15/2011 6:16:48 PM
