  • I believe I figured out where the culprit lies with vimeo vids. Trying to embed the video on another site, I received the following message:

  • OMG the science advisor for the Frontline episode works for KEPCO (korean nuclear) neinuclearnotes.blogspot.com

    web.mit.edu
    by lillymunster 1/18/2012 5:06:40 PM

  • @lillymunster He doesn't work for KEPCO. He has been granted the title of KEPCO Professor of Nuclear Engineering at MIT. The professorship is run at MIT, although it is sponsored by KEPCO. There are many examples like this around the world. NASA, for example, sponsors the Degree in Astrophysics in Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa, but only a small percentage of the graduates will work for NASA.
by Pedro Jesus 1/18/2012 5:35:32 PM

  • @lillymunster But given the fact that he is a world leading researcher in the latest nuclear reactor technology, I can understand your concerns.

  • I miss Wikipedia...
by Pedro Jesus 1/18/2012 5:37:55 PM

  • @Pedro Jesus it is a huge financial endowment. There is some rather obvious room for bias. I miss Wikipedia too. 3 times today needed to grab a fact.
    by lillymunster 1/18/2012 5:38:28 PM

  • LOL - now NEI and some other pro-nuclear PR groups are calling the frontline show biased and inaccurate

    by Edano 1/18/2012 5:54:40 PM

  • @Edano do we have an idea exactly where that is vs the plant?
    by lillymunster 1/18/2012 6:00:51 PM

  • watching the frontline documentary. The rep from Entergy's body language is classic "lying" body language even though what he is saying was pretty generic.
    by lillymunster 1/18/2012 6:02:09 PM

  • @lillymunster it's in iwaki in the mountains, near national route 41 ("iwaki highway") and a railroad, near Mt. Kittoya. about 20 km west of the plants. i don't know if Mt. Kittoya is a volcano.
