This explains the shroud replace at unit 3 along with the decontamination procedures done and some dates for time frame reference
www.jnes.go.jpby lillymunster 1/27/2012 3:13:45 AM

Unit 3 went into outage in May and had decontamination work done from June 29 to July 6 meaning they had all the gear and fuel out before June 29. So 1-2 months to get to that point depending on the May shutdown date
by lillymunster 1/27/2012 3:18:07 AM

Unit 4 was shut down for a routine, planned maintenance
outage on 30 November 2010. After the outage, all fuel from the reactor was transferred to the spent fuel pool.

Unit 4 was in a
105-day-long maintenance outage at the time of the earthquake and there is no fuel in the reactor.”
diggingintheclay.wordpress.comby lillymunster 1/27/2012 3:22:32 AM

They were 102 days into the 105 day maintenance outage.
by lillymunster 1/27/2012 3:25:37 AM

@Ian this is driving me crazy. Elaine found an outage date schedule and time frame for shroud on each unit. I know I have a copy of it and can't find it.
by lillymunster 1/27/2012 3:42:40 AM

The November 2010 date sounds about right though. I remembered it was before the 1st of the year.

About this last one. It is a revictimization. The 1953 test Harry (dubbed Dirty Harry by the downwinders) absolutely plastered St. George, Utah with fallout. This is the only test after which the AEC told the people of St. George to take shelter, although long after the danger had passed. In order to pacify the distressed citizens, the AEC told them that they had done so well, that a film would be made to show how perfectly the warning and shelter had gone, and the people of St. George could be in the movie. This is a clip of that film. They are re-enacting their exposure, but as a good thing. One participant in the film later noted that 4 out of 5 of those who appeared in the film were dead of cancer by the end of the decade.

Morning-afternoon-evening!
@Bo, is there info on test Harry in the videos? I had not heard of that one.

@Ian trying to interpret what the study means for fallout. That maybe they should be testing for this uranium product? How would it show up on testing? Like normal uranium?

@Ian It makes me wonder what else we don't know yet.
