  • i will go find that posting ..
    by dean 4/22/2011 4:04:40 AM

  • CNN would love the crowd-source angle. Especially if we broke down dates/times of various suggestions (i.e. tippytoes 'tent' idea) and then when tepco used them. That would rock.
by marie rich 4/22/2011 4:05:24 AM

  • @dean lol I dont mind I am just trying to stay out of trouble! lol
    by Angie 4/22/2011 4:05:50 AM

  • @dean Write the paragraph that PR sends to CNN to sell your 60-90 second spiel...

Really all you need do is give them the brief/gist, they'll message it.
by Rob in SF 4/22/2011 4:06:43 AM

  • Alaska had the coffer dam idea, tepco put up steel sheets.

    by dean 4/22/2011 4:08:52 AM

  • I had the idea for super absorbent polymer as a layer in entombment, Tepco put it out to stop cabling pit leak (unsuccesfully- but hey, they read it wrong!)

  • Group Write to pitch Dean to CNN?

There is an intrepid group of online info-vigilantes who initially coalesced around a relatively obscure Reuters live blog; but when Reuters moved on, they did not. The highly motivated group purposefully segued within an existing new media Live Blog hosting structure to continue their own creation.

What continues to unfold today is perhaps the foremost indication of a revolutionary trend in... (Who's next...?)
by Rob in SF 4/22/2011 4:16:30 AM

  • Btw, is there a reason they can't put an aerosolized dye in the nitrogen injection to help trace leaks? Why not a flourescent? Been dying to ask, but thought the reason might be obvious, and felt dumb...
by marie rich 4/22/2011 4:17:33 AM

  • they are something huh marie... I need to go look at the latest stuff
    by dean 4/22/2011 4:17:48 AM

    by dean 4/22/2011 4:18:36 AM

  • @dean I would think the essence is: what the public is missing due to all the spin.
by Rob in SF 4/22/2011 4:18:45 AM

  • the rest of the fukushima story
    by dean 4/22/2011 4:19:08 AM

    by dean 4/22/2011 4:24:34 AM

  • @dean yeah, read that before, but didn't realize they said the pump seals failed, too. At least, not consciously :)
