quite disappointing that IAEA have not updated their site since 21 April...maybe they are on holidays

The IAEA site says no update until 26 April unless there is something major.

@Edano Sounds to me like the people in Japan are not all buying the corporate/govt. PR line of BS. The outrage is understandable and in one way I want to encourage it but in another I don't. Violence isn't a good answer but it does not seem that they are being heard any other way. It does seem that in the last week TEPCO has almost stepped back out of the picture and the govt is doing more leading. Anyone have ideas about why. My kneejerk guess is TEPCO is facing criminal charges so the govt stepped in, or the govt. wants more of a crack down on info than TEPCO does.

@Nancy I think it's just a punch and judy show for the public outside of Japan. The common person on the street in Japan knows that Tapslo and the government are the same.

@elainekirk Has something to do with that. It just has to be installed. In Linux languages are compiled into the kernel, but MS in its infinite wisdom puts that into an integrated program. Sorta like a module.

You may just need to enable it, somewhere.

Marie -- the powerpoint from the AMA Webinar is out, I saved it to Jim's site. Were you expecting anything else to come out?

@elainekirk Might look around in the control panel and look for something like languages.

@Jim Carver : the rectangles in pictures will not change. this is picture data. not a language problem. only text will be affected. i repeat, to install asian languages, go to control panel - regions - languages. check the two checkboxes and hit OK. then you will be prompted to insert the WinCD (or anything you installed from).

With the scale Stolfi is using it really dampens the big increases in #2 SC B CAMS readings. It can be tough to pick the portrayal method.

@Ralph Unger I'm not giving the Japonese any more proclivity to deception than anyone else, including US. Or inclination to messages between the lines. This "news" Yomiuri and asah are made for the masses the same as MSNBC, CNN, Fox and the Daily Mail. They are big on headlines and short on substance and fact. Why is there never any source documentation or reference material provided? Because it's soft news. Like readers digest condensed versions. I've seen alot of data from TEPCO and NISA (some of it later shown to be incorrect), but absolutely no confirmation of Yomiuri's "data". I ask again, where are the Japonese people (not extremists, enviornmentalist or whackos that are following this event from Japonese sources? I don't trust the generic translation of documents from Japonese because too many individual words are erroneously translated, like Neutron Beam.
