We're talking up to 630 PBq here - so far! If Chernobyl released 1800 PBq, we're talking about nearly 1/3 Chernobyl at this point.

@es Depending on the size of the sprayers and how much water would have to do with how quick they plug up with calcium deposits. We have very calcified water. I have to clean out faucet ends and shower heads about every 3 months.

Japan Rewrites History Forcing Top Official To Retract Statement Fukushima Will Remain Permanently Uninhabitable.

Japanese media is reporting that Government has forced a top official to retract his report about comment the Prime Minister of Japan made behind closed doors.

A top Japanese Cabinet adviser revealed to the press that the Prime Minister said that the areas around the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant would not be inhabitable for a long period of time.

Apparently the comment made behind closed doors was not supposed to be made public and the official has been forced to retract the report and Prime Minister denies ever making the comment. www.globalresearch.ca

We are at step two of the disaster. That is the point where the alarmist's are shown to have the facts and now they are dismissed. They were and are idiots, and the fact that they were correct is soon forgotten. I did this dance with the BP accident.

@Nancy Same with the water here. The deposits very quickly build up, and it seems more calcium gets deposited faster the higher the temp?

@es It gets on everything. Just water overspray has to be cleaned off of things once a week because it leaves calcium even through a filter.

fuku 1 #1-5 are mark 1 containment, while fuku 1 #6 is mark 2. nevertheless the cooling problems were the same in #5 and #6. they had to drill holes into the roof as a preparation for venting. i would have expected different behaviours in mark 1 and 2 reactors. or not ?

@Elaine, did you look at the history of those BWR's? 75 PSI and in the testing stages they had to over-torque the bolts to make a seal on the the reactors.

IAEA requires all documents to be in English. So I find it odd that many members of this forum are trying to translate documents. @RB it is clear in the documents that it is only atmospheric releases that are shown.

Other TEPCO signs were just removed from the 23 dorms in Tokyo "to protect our employees and their families." The corporate edict to go undercover went out from headquarters on March 22.

What triggered the tape job? Anti-TEPCO graffiti was found on the dorm housing the company’s crackerjack PR team that must have trained at Three Mile Island or Chernobyl before taking the Japanese gig.

The T-ONT reports that rocks have been tossed at TEPCO’s headquarters and a torrid of complaints have overwhelmed its call centers. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police stands guard at the home of TEPCO chairman Tsunehisa Katsumata.
