@ralph as you can see they are no gonna pick up radiation being sent into the atmosphere on a blanket of heat - that radiation will be coming down well outside the plant and those wee ....mmm I better not say it

@Ralph bo was here yesterday and left this:
@all, here are some pics of ground zero here in Hiroshima. The first pic is of the dome and sakura (taken last year) the other pics were all taken today on my bike ride to work. Ground zero is a few blocks behind the dome on a side street and is only marked with a small brown marker. All of the sites related to the bombing use these brown markers. In Nagasaki, ground zero is the center of the park, but here most people come to Hiroshima and never find ground zero. Very strange. A colleague of mine always likes to go for a drink at the bar closest to ground zero. gallery.me.com

Posting this image from Tepco's Kashiwazaki Kariwa Nuclear Power Station because it says under it "Visual inspection did not reveal damage to components inside the primary containment vessel." and visual inspection would have been the most they could have done at Fukushima...just a thought s they prepare to send men into the containment.

@dean did you see my e-mail on the sludge (Harford) apparently residuale rad removed from the system in it consentrated form likes to continue to create "warmth" causing "hyd gas and nitrous oxside" then needs vented to prevent explosions.... the sludge tank on the drawing is a flat head tank.... these are not a pressure vessel... (tank)

@dean came across a article yesterday (can not verify if its opionion or fact) but say that Japan reactor builing does not have "condensate tanks.... was a "additional safety adder.... the print we have is rev's from 90's and 2000's... am going to ask bo to see if he can get the title block translated... its becoming more important...

@dean found more color coding... can you check at your plant and see if "Fuel oil is orange... looks like the piping going to the desiels is painted orange... RED still seems to be "main steam" and the pipe is insulated and on rollers vs. non rolling supports..
