Evening all, apart from the image taken from miles away with the superimposed lines is there other supporting evidence that number 4 is leaning/sinking? I could believe the upper structure is failing however a large proportion of the building is underground and in structural terms it would be tied into the turbine building. I just could not see how it would sink/move independently of other buildings on the site?

@madrat the concern is the spf sits on the sevice floor so is supported by the 3/if that collapes then the sfp collases....

@jim @madrat they passed #4 in 07/08 and they were doing a shroud replacement at the time of the quake and yet in 2003 these are photo's of shroud cracks fount in that unit

@elainekirk If I had to pick one of the units to run MOX in I would have done it at 6. Newest reactor, highest output, newer better safety. Of 1-4 I would have probably picked 4 before knowing what we know now.

@madrat yes. I heard back from a reporter who works for one of the major media outlets. The techs running the web cam state it is not an illusion of the camera and the reporter confirmed that yes, 4 is leaning. This person has contacts at the plant and also confirmed there is a construction company contracted to attempt to put in concrete braces at some point. Don't know if that will happen. So it has been confirmed with 2 sources on the ground by a reliable outlet. They are trying in vain to get the GoJ to make a statement nothing yet though.
