  • @Edano What was the disagreement on pressure specifically about?
by Pedro Jesus 5/9/2011 9:54:55 AM

  • the easiest explanation is wrong measurings. but it is pure speculation.
    by Edano 5/9/2011 9:55:06 AM

  • So I am confused....... What is the temp of #3??
    by Angie 5/9/2011 9:55:10 AM

  • by xxx 5/9/2011 9:55:13 AM

  • Temp over 10C and pressure is below 1 atmosphere.
by Ralph Unger 5/9/2011 9:55:42 AM

  • @Angie about 210°
    by Edano 5/9/2011 9:55:45 AM

  • 100C...
by Ralph Unger 5/9/2011 9:55:52 AM

  • @Edano thank you so it wasnt above 300 then yesterday?
    by Angie 5/9/2011 9:56:40 AM

  • Can you imagine a hot kettle on your stove sucking in steam in stead of blowing it out?
by Ralph Unger 5/9/2011 9:57:20 AM

  • by Edano via Ic.unicamp.br 5/9/2011 9:57:42 AM

  • @Angie : atmc.jp all different data www.tepco.co.jp confusing
    by Edano 5/9/2011 9:59:43 AM

  • @Edano It is very confusing!!!
    by Angie 5/9/2011 10:00:32 AM

  • Well , one is in Japanese, that might be part of the problem.
by Ralph Unger 5/9/2011 10:01:10 AM

  • @Ralph Unger @Pedro Jesus : leth voted for Bernoulli's principle en.wikipedia.org but i did not agree, this is a different scenario.
    by Edano 5/9/2011 10:05:19 AM

  • Off to ride home. Be back in a bit.
    by bo 5/9/2011 10:07:43 AM

  • well, so we have contradicting temperatures and pressure far below atmosphere in rpv #3, which is not possible. except, there is a major breach and corium dropping out. (?) (theory)
    by Edano 5/9/2011 10:08:30 AM

  • I think I got the link ,but it will not load hmmmm...
by Ralph Unger 5/9/2011 10:11:47 AM

  • @Edano I can't see how Bernoulli's principle can apply here. I'm with you on that. As to the negative pressure (that is, pressure below atmospheric pressure level) in the RPV, I still don't understand it.
by Pedro Jesus 5/9/2011 10:12:53 AM

  • by Edano 5/9/2011 10:15:20 AM

  • Still not getting TEPCO press releases that I know were made.
by Ralph Unger 5/9/2011 10:17:55 AM

  • @Ralph Unger I you find anything missing from TEPCO's website contact Jim Carver. He's been keeping backup copies of it for quite some time.
by Pedro Jesus 5/9/2011 10:19:29 AM

  • TY Pedro
by Ralph Unger 5/9/2011 10:20:04 AM

  • G,night
by Ralph Unger 5/9/2011 10:20:51 AM

  • @Ralph Unger If they [TEPCO] suppress information from their website we will be able to prove it. Good night.
by Pedro Jesus 5/9/2011 10:21:03 AM

  • @Edano , it may be like a bain marie with an inner pot that has got a lid and a hole near the bottom.
by Peter Melzer 5/9/2011 10:21:17 AM

  • It was just a translation that was hard for me to find, it might have been a server glitch, I will know tomorrow.
by Ralph Unger 5/9/2011 10:22:18 AM

  • Actually several translations , but tomorrow will tell.
by Ralph Unger 5/9/2011 10:23:33 AM

  • This is the TEPCO source page for up-to-date plant readings www.tepco.co.jp If you have google toolbar installed it will make a decent go of translating the various headings. The page needs to be refreshed when you access it to ensure getting the most recent postings. @mod worth pinning?
    by hudebnik 5/9/2011 10:32:23 AM

  • Some clarifications worth reading on the assessment of the current status of reactors 1, 2 and 3. www.slideshare.net
by Pedro Jesus 5/9/2011 10:33:03 AM

  • The pages I linked earlier are specifically "Plant temperature data pdf " - each reactor listed separately
    by hudebnik 5/9/2011 10:33:22 AM

  • @hudebnik That information is translated to English. Check here: www.tepco.co.jp
by Pedro Jesus 5/9/2011 10:34:56 AM

  • by elainekirk 5/9/2011 10:37:39 AM

  • @Pedro - I can't see the raw reactor temperature or pressure data there though
    by hudebnik 5/9/2011 10:37:54 AM

  • @hudebnik Neither can I. Is it on the Japanese version, though? I can't see it there
    either.
by Pedro Jesus 5/9/2011 10:39:42 AM

  • The ones at my links eg #3 here www.tepco.co.jp are being updated every 4 hours or so (and the temp still seems to be rising!)
    by hudebnik 5/9/2011 10:40:24 AM

  • I don't think the detailed and up-to-date reactor data is being published in English. I wonder if the Japanese version will disappear now we are discussing it?
    by hudebnik 5/9/2011 10:41:35 AM

  • @hudebnik It is unlikely. We haven't found anything missing from their website yet. Jim Carver has been backing it up for weeks, before they restructured the website.
by Pedro Jesus 5/9/2011 10:43:17 AM

  • @ Pedro - I suspect that the website is being used to distribute info round TEPCO and the GOJ as well
    by hudebnik 5/9/2011 10:44:46 AM

  • @hudebnik I don't believe in conspiracy theories until I see evidence. We have our eyes open. =)
by Pedro Jesus 5/9/2011 10:46:02 AM

  • @ Pedro - no, Occam's razor would support the cock-up rather than conspiracy theory...
    by hudebnik 5/9/2011 10:47:31 AM

  • www.arirang.co.kr GOOD MORNING.. not sure if this helps but there is a broadcast on temps
    by dean 5/9/2011 10:52:40 AM

  • @hudebnik : no, it would support wrong readings !
    by Edano 5/9/2011 10:53:30 AM

  • @elainekirk : unicamp plot looks very different.
    by Edano 5/9/2011 10:53:36 AM

  • " Apology

Plant-related parameters for each item of equipment to Orimashita our website, confirmed that some of the data is incorrect, April 24, the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, and will report such . We are currently working to ensure the data still further, to confirm the results 取Rimatome, and will be reported to the NISA. In addition, after the corrections, the data will be published again. We apologize for any inconvenience indeed. " translate.google.de
    by Edano 5/9/2011 10:53:36 AM

  • btw. 19 hours without earthquake in japan.
