@RBeaner The data is actually from a subfolder on the NILU site. The data is "valid" in that these were actual runs done with the Flexpart dispersal modelling system, and are taken from a legitimate site's server. Whether they MEAN anything is the only part that's in question..

@RBeaner thanks for clarifying-what I meant was, some kook could accidentally discover something of import-it must be carefully looked it-if the source of those simulations are teppy, or a scientific institution that it must be regarded carefully as possibly not a simulation since current dates and past dates are also there-not just future-if it just came from that kooks web server then throw it out-did I explain it better-haven't had my caffeine yet and my brain hasn't booted up completely so sorry if I was unclear in my explanation

@radioguy So, could you check where those charts come from. They must some tag clarifying date of simulation and the source of the data used to start the simulation from and also what is being simulated. Otherwise it's worth nothing in a scientific context.

On some actual incidents going on. I noticed that the data for yesterday's EQ was missing. ON reactor 3 the 2:30am report was gone. There is one for the quakes on the 8th (the other steam show) and the plant perameters on #3 stay basically the same before and after the quake and steam show. That seemed odd. I would think there would be a change up or down in a pressure gauge with all that release.

@radioguy I agree. but there is #1 no reference to Fukushima as infered from the reader, and #2 no reference to the origional scenario or source term that spawned the projections.

@RBeaner I love how the Cs-137 levels, with a half-life of 30 years, has been going down. It reminds me of how all the oil in the Gulf of Mexico suddenly went away shortly after the Deepwater hole was plugged.

@Pedro Jesus that NO site releases weekly rad projection maps. It seems like their testing scenarios that he found. God Like Productions has a very poor track record for having factual information or properly interpreting what they find.

@Nancy I agree re godlike-they are the weekly world news on steroids and thorazine-but I have seen some stuff there that was accurate just less than half of one percent-but there are the occasional gem that is later verified-so I keep track

@RBeaner That will be hard. I couldn't get anything from the poor quality video. Only thing I found out about was a zardoz.com site that looks nothing like the one shown in the video.

Water leaking from No.1 reactor
Tokyo Electric Power Company says water may be leaking from a hole in the No.1 reactor at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, causing a sharp drop in the water level inside the reactor.

Tokyo Electric sent workers inside the building to adjust the water gauge of the reactor.

The utility suspected the gauge wasn't working properly because the water level hasn't been rising despite the pumping in of 150 tons of water daily to cool the reactor.

On Thursday morning, it was found that the water level was more than one meter below the bottom of the fuel rods. The water is believed to be leaking into the containment vessel.
The Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said that if the latest data is accurate, it seems parts of the fuel rods have melted and accumulated at the bottom of the reactor. But it added that it believes the fuel rods are being cooled. www.nuc.berkeley.edu

By the way, I don't recall any new reports on #4 basement water level, since the initial report of 5 meters deep several weeks ago.

The only plausible scenarios for a reduction in cesium levels:

1. The cesium went into the topsoil, where it mainly stays in the top 2cm,
2. It was washed away by rain, where it went into drinking water,
3. It was consumed by cows, where it was deposited into milk.

I love how they're saying 'parts of rods' have melted. How long has this been going on? At TMI half the rods melted in 2 hours. What a joke. Sorry...this just makes me mad. Rant over.

@Lethbridgean Are you including me on that lot? I was neutral towards nuclear energy and I live in nuclear free country, meaning we don't use nuclear energy. Just to clarify, I have since turned to the other side, the against nuclear lot. Regarding what we are supposed to address in this forum, I'm only concerned in following real information, I'm not interested in mixing science fiction in here.

my issue is that there is little reason to trust or even determine "real" data, given the past two months of spin, redirection, recalculation, false statements, etc. Data delivered by official means should be just as doubted as unofficial (re: occasionallly crazy) means. It is unfruitful to pretend that we should only analyse 'real' data.

I must admit I've become a cynic. The 'real' data is being published by nuclear engineering departments, power companies and the governments in bed with them... We need data from academics not making a living from pro or anti nuclear organizations. Just my 2 cents.
