    by Angie 5/18/2011 7:25:33 AM

  • @Angie I truly believe, we have not been informed of the mess in #1 as is..just the intermediate door ratings......and #2..........who knows, that building is the only one pretty much still contained so if that thing is nanything melted, it's gotta be enormous news

    by Angie 5/18/2011 7:29:50 AM

  • @Angie IT has to, i mean more and more articles are now mirroring each other in disclosing that TEPCO lied since beginning all lies.....we knew but they didn;t touch it...however, we are seeing now cracks, the GoJ is being called upon them standing by TEPCO's side and cosigning the lies..it's OVER.shame and disgrace

    by Angie 5/18/2011 7:35:11 AM

  • @Veenie I did remove them! all gone!
    by Angie 5/18/2011 7:35:43 AM

  • @Veenie, I have been noticing that there have been dozens of small quakes on the West US coast and Alaska, meaning that the plate is tearing away from there, and moving West. The plate is then piling up on the west side of the Pacific, and is causing heavier quakes there. Doesn't look like it is stopping any time soon, (or getting smaller), either we are going to start seeing bigger quakes on the west side of the plate, or they are going to get stronger, as it piles up on the other plates to the west of that one, that have not moved yet ?

  • Radioactive water released at U.S. request: Cabinet adviser

    SEOUL, May 18, Kyodo
Japanese playwright Oriza Hirata, who serves as a special adviser to the Cabinet, claimed in a recent lecture given here that the dumping of low-level radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean was done at the ''strong request'' from the United States, a person who attended the lecture said Wednesday.

The release of the water from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant last month generated anxiety about the possible spread of radioactive contamination from the seaside power station.

The Japanese government had apparently given its permission for the release of the water after receiving a report from plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co.

  • IAEA to investigate Fukushima nuclear accident

The UN nuclear watchdog will send experts to Japan to investigate the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi plant.

The International Atomic Energy Agency will dispatch a 20-member team of IAEA officials and experts from the United States, France, Hungary, Indonesia and 6 other countries.

They will visit the Daiichi and Daini plants in Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan, from May 24th to June 2nd. The Daini plant is now under control.

The experts will investigate the damage caused by the March earthquake and tsunami and the responses taken to deal with the nuclear accident. They will compile their findings in a report.

The report will include the lessons from the nuclear accident and measures to prevent a recurrence.

It will be presented at an IAEA ministerial-level meeting to be held from June 20th.

  • Japan apologizes for radiation concerns

Japan has apologized for releasing radioactive substances into the air and the sea from the disabled Fukushima nuclear plant.
Japan's Senior Vice Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Kohei Otsuka made the remark at a special meeting of the World Health Organization in Geneva on Tuesday. About 200 representatives from governments around the world attended the meeting.
Otsuka said the Japanese government sets strict standards on food and drinking water to protect people's health from radioactive elements
