  • @WolfDK I have to get some work done, but I think (not sure) your comment is what i was or am wondering about.... will try and find you later after i read up on the subject... when are you usually around?
    by fitter 6/3/2011 12:36:30 PM

  • @WolfDK the comment about vaporizing

  • My latest work. I expand on some stuff I talked about earlier today on here but I put a disclaimer in for my own theories:

  • @fitter usually from 2100 -> 0000 GMT
    by WolfDK 6/3/2011 12:39:27 PM

  • @WolfDK do you know what that equates to in US time?
    by fitter 6/3/2011 12:40:33 PM

  • btw: always when i see the word vaporizing i have to think about the "plane" that crashed into pentagon on 9/11 and the bush administration stated it had been "vaporized" and therefor you cannot find any wreckage or deads. ;)
    by Edano 6/3/2011 12:41:35 PM

  • @fitter US eastern time is GMT -4 IIRC
    by WolfDK 6/3/2011 12:43:12 PM

  • @fitter the us has several time zones.

  • June 2 about 23:30 MSK at the military unit in Udmurtia Republic near the village of Pugachevo an explosion occurred, which led to the detonation of ammunition. More than 28 thousand people were evacuated from nearby settlements. Real hell on earth. here are more Videos from the Russian accident russiatrek.org

  • I think reactor 3 cracked the 8 metre concrete base when it had a massive explosion. Maybe worse. Just a theory. If it can explode up like that it must generate downwards force?.
    by AustralianCannnball 6/3/2011 12:51:23 PM

  • Every force has an equal and opposite reaction.

    by RBeaner 6/3/2011 12:52:24 PM

  • @rbeaner Angie told me about it earlier. I will take a look now.
    by AustralianCannnball 6/3/2011 12:53:22 PM

  • @AustralianCannnball @RBeaner lol I had just sent you the link to it as well!
    by Angie 6/3/2011 12:55:55 PM

  • i vote for cracked bases in all 3 reactors. the proof is the groundwater in the basements.
    by Edano 6/3/2011 12:55:57 PM

  • @rbeaner Thanks - I think a central point to expand on like you have made is going to be of benefit. Only I guess if it is the general consensus. What I say about reactor 3 is probably an outlier.
    by AustralianCannnball 6/3/2011 12:56:04 PM

  • @fitter The stuff used is Depleted Uranium, and as mentioned below is safe when in an ammobelt or rocket. when it explodes on contact with target, some is pulverized and becomes dust. There is not really any Proof (but there is "some" evidence) that DU is a big factor in Gulf War Syndrome. Don't know if the russian ammo burning uses DU. DU is used by US because incredible density and weight causing great penetration. On the other hand, we also have alot of it available and no way to properly dispose of it that I know of. LOL

  • @AustralianCannnball if you go to the link houseoffoust.com comments are desired and appreciated, I hope to make a few edits today. Kind of forgot to list Reactors 4-6.
    by RBeaner 6/3/2011 12:58:58 PM

  • @edano I thought my theory was a bit of an outlier so there may be some method in my madness!.

  • @rbeaner thanks.
    by AustralianCannnball 6/3/2011 1:00:56 PM

  • @AustralianCannnball : you have to catch up with our madness !
    by Edano 6/3/2011 1:01:58 PM

  • obviously they had pre quake cracks, even more from the quake and finally the explosions.
    by Edano 6/3/2011 1:04:19 PM

  • @Edano pre-quake cracks?
    by RBeaner 6/3/2011 1:07:29 PM

  • @RBeaner : yes, that's why they had to pump out the basements regularly before the quake.
    by Edano 6/3/2011 1:08:41 PM

  • by Edano 6/3/2011 1:10:59 PM

  • @Edano I am not aware of basement pumping prior to quakes. You may be confused on this. They have always had a high groundwater problem at Daiichi. They had well shafts around the site where the pumped groundwater (every day) out to the ocean. Because of tsunami and electric, they were no longer able to pump out ground water, so the water table has been rising again, and is actually higher (outside underground) than the radioactive water in building 1. www.yomiuri.co.jp
    by RBeaner 6/3/2011 1:12:28 PM

  • the plants were built in 1970, 73 and 74. since then the groundwater level rose by 20-30 meters.
    by Edano 6/3/2011 1:14:21 PM

  • @Edano also "TEPCO officials said the contaminated water was taken from a facility that discharges water to a ditch after groundwater has been pumped up from a depth of about 15 meters." from 4/2 www.asahi.com The plant Floats on groundwater.
    by RBeaner 6/3/2011 1:15:03 PM

  • @RBeaner : i think the problem is the word basement. we had the problem before. i do not mean the suppression pool or torus. i mean the gangways on the side of the plants.
    by Edano 6/3/2011 1:16:17 PM

  • @Edano as far as the 20 meter rise, I have no idea, but your graph is for Chubu. I don't think Daiichi would be the same. Don't know though.
    by RBeaner 6/3/2011 1:16:21 PM

  • @Edano by basement, you mean trenches? I mean lower levels of turbine buildings.
    by RBeaner 6/3/2011 1:17:11 PM

  • @RBeaner : i mean trenches.
    by Edano 6/3/2011 1:17:37 PM

  • @All, hi! Just dropped by to post these links, found them while searching for "Namie station siesmic data" translated to Japanese on Google.
Image of vegetables titled "Difficult to capture radioactive food, easy food capture " when translated. (Because the link is a jpeg Google won’t translate it! www.creatorsbank.com found @
members3.jcom.home.ne.jp Also found on the initial site is heaps of other links to monitoring and food information school information ect…..Of interest is food monitoring results for all manner of foods from over Japan, can search by prefecture or food product, don’t know too much about the site or the test dates ect…
Original link in Japanese for browse by product.-
yasaikensa.cloudapp.net Also very interesting and useful a page titled “where your food comes from-factory specific marks”.-
www45.atwiki.jp at bottom left of this page is all manner of links to monitoring results and advisories from Japanese government agencies. Scroll below the translated heading of “Consumer affairs Agency” with number…
Ok….I am about an hour late to start work on an antique clock, so before my wife kills me….I will bid you all farewell! LoL! Hopefully at least some of these links will be useful! @ All Stay well!

(This is a post by @Thunder. It would not work for him so he asked me to post it.)
    by Angie 6/3/2011 1:23:17 PM

  • @Edano ok. i understand. My take on it is they have always had high groundwater level and planned for it back when built. They have "shafts" (deep holes) they always pumped water from, that went into specific trenches, and into sea. They stopped doing that pumping 3/11. Since then, groundwater has risen alot. At some point in , i think, early april. Water (groundwater) started entering #5 and #6 turbine building basements through some floor drains. This water was not contaminated. I don't know about now, however most of the water inside the basements of 5&6 is believed to be groundwater intrusion. "The Nos. 5 and 6 reactors are in cold shutdown, with their temperatures below 100 C. However, groundwater levels have been rising nearby, and water has flowed into the basements of the turbine buildings www.yomiuri.co.jp

  • @all Goodnight - It is 11.38pm here. Only up a bit later because the weekend is here!!!. The last few posts I have read have been interesting. Thanks.
    by AustralianCannonball 6/3/2011 1:40:06 PM

  • @AustralianCannonball Night!
    by Angie 6/3/2011 1:40:59 PM

  • @RBeaner : as to rectors 1-3 i think we have now a mixture of groundwater, seawater and contaminated cooling water and i think the radioactivity just spreads around the site, from beneath the buildings and into the ocean, all the water being an open system with corium amidst. that is why i am so pessimistic about "plugging" leaks.
    by Edano 6/3/2011 1:42:36 PM

  • and that's why tepco does not seem to do anything. they have no plan. they will never have enough storing facilities for the water masses.
    by Edano 6/3/2011 1:44:16 PM

  • when they remove water from the trenches, it just pushes in again.
    by Edano 6/3/2011 1:45:02 PM

  • @Edano they have a very detailed plan on the problem with the trenchs and cracks... I don't know what it says, I don't read japanese and it would not tranlate on this computor... but a engineer (IMOP) spent considerable hours , along with field personal scoping and drawing the plan or the drwaings... as this does fall into my field I assure you hours were spent putting it together and will it work that remains to be seen... will more cracks appear? I wouild guess yes based on the increased pressure on what in now not leaking and the continuation of the aftershocks... I posted the link yesterday in full someone had put just the few pics that did not fully include the schedule and specs.. but it should be on the TEPCO web site.... have to go was just trying to get my mini working (this is where it froze last nite) bblater
    by fitter 6/3/2011 1:55:47 PM

  • @Edano sorry that pc froze again before i could edit... the plan is on "sealing the cracks" not the excessive water issue... but if you do tranlate could you please post as I would like to see the full plan.. not just the pics.. remember STAR ... this apperars to be the STA and the R will be a daily battle as long as the aftershocks and pressure contune bbl

  • @fitter : tepco has already approved the value of their detailed plans in the past ..........
