  • @Panserbjorne9 There has, although I don't know what the final form will take. I'm sure it will all be resolved by tomorrow, hopefully to almost everyone's satisfaction.
    by bo 6/18/2011 6:53:23 AM

  • Opening the other board would be a very good thing. It has been sorely missed :(
    by deb 6/18/2011 6:54:00 AM

  • @bo Thank you. I think it does a great deal for venting, sharing, expressing, and learning. Perhaps not as structured or detail oriented as this one. But worth it all the same.
    by Panserbjorne9 6/18/2011 6:55:01 AM

  • It is almost midnight, so I will bid you all a good evening or good day :)
    by deb 6/18/2011 6:56:02 AM

  • @deb good night, and thanks so much

  • @All, I have also seen a decline in the postings on my forum. We all feel helpless as individuals but as a group can be a force to be reckoned with!
    by Lurking 6/18/2011 6:57:03 AM

  • @Panserbjorne9 agreed.
    by bo 6/18/2011 6:57:07 AM

  • @Lurking we should all get used to it, all of them will continue to decline as time wears on, just like the press coverage has withered up. Which forum by the way?
    by bo 6/18/2011 6:58:11 AM

  • @Bo, GLP - Current events at Fukushima thread. We have over 1000 pages so far and even the regulars are starting to peter out.
    by Lurking 6/18/2011 7:01:02 AM

  • @Bo, GLP is Godlikeproductions.com
    by Lurking 6/18/2011 7:03:44 AM

  • @Lurking as I said earlier, remember the 1000 people strong Reuters blog? This always happens. Sad but true. People want to make a difference, but after months of pushing and finding nothing moved, people peter away to places where they can have an impact. It's human nature. Often these issues (when there is no crisis) have a small core of heavily committed followers, but many times these people burn out and have to leave, to be replaced by the young, who will then peter out and leave, to be replaced...........
    by bo 6/18/2011 7:05:00 AM

  • @Bo, I realize what you are saying is true. We have just uncovered so much info. Over 1000 pages, most of which are cold hard facts. It's hard to watch in wane into history.
    by Lurking 6/18/2011 7:07:23 AM

  • @Lurking well I am a big fan of the British novelist Doris Lessing. She won the Nobel Prize a few years ago in her late 80s. She advises young people: in the long span of history everything will change. So all of the things that you are fighting against, that seem so big and unmovable to you, will eventually fall. And every little thing that you do in your fighting will be a part of how that happens. So even if you can't see the impact of your efforts, fight on. You are changing history.
    by bo 6/18/2011 7:10:47 AM

  • @ all. Hello @ red Yeah, who's running this show any ways, tepco? How long does it take to figure out how to moderate an un-moderated board....oh yeah that would take an oxymoron. @ Bo. That us a wonderful philosophy and true!:)
    by NorthernCali 6/18/2011 7:13:25 AM

  • @Bo, I really like that Doris Lessing quote. That is how I feel. It goes with: I am one, I am only one, but that will not change what I can do.
    by Lurking 6/18/2011 7:14:00 AM

  • @Lurking nice. @NorthernCali thanks.
    by bo 6/18/2011 7:15:12 AM

  • @ Bo, here is the actual quote:
    by Lurking 6/18/2011 7:15:42 AM

  • I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do. ~Edward Everett Hale
    by Lurking 6/18/2011 7:15:45 AM

  • My geiger readings are still higher than normal, I am 30 miles north of the California border. Tonight's average is .15 uSv/hr. My "normal" is .09 - .11 uSv/hr.
    by Lurking 6/18/2011 7:18:08 AM

  • @Lurking nice. Not the geiger readings, the quote!
    by bo 6/18/2011 7:18:14 AM

  • @Bo, thanks. I think of that one a lot as I look for info.
    by Lurking 6/18/2011 7:20:31 AM

  • The geiger readings are what they are. Many of my friends have questioned "Why would you do that" My answer is simply just because I can.

  • @elainekirk good morning! 28 hours.
    by bo 6/18/2011 7:55:07 AM

  • Doh! I mean 16 hours.
    by bo 6/18/2011 7:56:06 AM

  • Is there a really slow cooking cake in the oven?
    by bo 6/18/2011 8:00:22 AM

  • @bo hello
    by elainekirk 6/18/2011 8:00:34 AM

  • @bo no tepco are doing an electrical switch and closing camera 9am-11am
    by elainekirk 6/18/2011 8:01:22 AM

  • Ah, yes.
    by bo 6/18/2011 8:02:42 AM

  • @bo I just thought very strange that they will lose conectipon to an itsy bitsy camera's circuit and just wondered with their present supply being a rig up how many other bits-n-bobs may be ...
    by elainekirk 6/18/2011 8:03:14 AM

  • @bo getting us coffee
    by elainekirk 6/18/2011 8:03:43 AM

  • Ah. True that. Yes, some coffee. I may have had a bit more than I should already!
    by bo 6/18/2011 8:04:56 AM

  • @bo I am assuming we are still not getting news through
    by elainekirk 6/18/2011 8:12:55 AM

  • @elainekirk what do you mean?
    by bo 6/18/2011 8:15:58 AM

  • There is a book been published in english with peoples earthquake experiences translate.google.com
    by elainekirk 6/18/2011 8:16:56 AM

  • @bo from tepco & co
    by elainekirk 6/18/2011 8:17:09 AM

  • @elainekirk still not sure what you mean. Do you mean news releases from TEPCO?
    by bo 6/18/2011 8:19:01 AM

  • @bo yes official updates have there been any with substance?
    by elainekirk 6/18/2011 8:20:19 AM

  • @elainekirk I don't track that so closely. But in terms of the news wires, there has been nothing except for the news that they have halted the water cleaning procedure because of high radiation readings and sludge gunking up the pipes.
    by bo 6/18/2011 8:21:25 AM

  • @bo that is actually big news I suppose because it means that eeeeeeek
    by elainekirk 6/18/2011 8:22:42 AM

  • @ Elaine. Umm. Do pigs fly? I would guess minimal substance. Lol :)
    by NorthernCali 6/18/2011 8:22:58 AM

  • @northern true
