  • @lillymunster I'm a fan of Ex-SKF.
    That WSJ article makes a point many of us were making way back in March, that just as rain concentrates isotopes, rice paddies concentrate rain. It's simply mind-boggling to me that this is the first time we've seen any official mention of that problem:
    "Come the harvest season in the fall, there will be a chaos," Mr. Kosako said. "Among the rice harvested, there will certainly be some radiation contamination—though I don't know at what levels—setting off a scandal. If people stop buying rice from Tohoku, …we'll have a tricky problem."

  • Morning Beautifuls!!!! I have missed everyone!
    by Angie 7/2/2011 12:55:43 AM

  • I already laid in rice supplies from last year's harvest.

    @Angie! Morning.
    by RadioGuy 7/2/2011 12:56:15 AM

  • Ok so I have seen some news articles flying through FB I havent had time to read any.............anyone care to break down what I have missed?
    by Angie 7/2/2011 12:57:35 AM

  • @RadioGuy I stockpiled rice before March. One of the stores had it for $1 a bag.

    @Angie Hi!

  • @Angie Hmm. #4's SFP low on water. TEPCO is doing something but nobody is quite sure what is really up. Lots of vague highly edited press releases. The Guardian articles are really damning of the British govt, worth reading if you have to pick just one. Big cover up of FUKU and collusions with nuke industry.
    The ex-skf article i posted below is of interest - quite honest rundown of what is really going on.
    Finding internal radiation in school children.
    by lillymunster 7/2/2011 1:01:05 AM

  • @lillymunster Oh thank you! WOW sfp???? thats not a good thing. The rad with the children they still saying "no threat to health"? I did have a quick look over the guardian articles...........amazing what politics and money do!
    by Angie 7/2/2011 1:03:23 AM

  • @Angie And we've been watching the same dance in Japan, but with far more dangerous potential consequences. "Residents in these areas might want to consider leaving in the next 2 or 3 months" ????? "No worries, your kids are safe. We wouldn't want to cause a panic by telling you the truth."
    Shameful.
    by RadioGuy 7/2/2011 1:10:44 AM

  • @Angie There wasn't much of a comment about the doses in the children by the govt. Lots of what is going on is doing nothing now and maybe moving people or doing something to lower radiation risk long after the known exposure. It really is horrible, people are being screwed over so the govt. doesn't have to deal with the real cost and impact of nuclear power in Japan.
    by lillymunster 7/2/2011 1:12:20 AM

  • @RadioGuy So nothing has changed then, more lies and condeming the people to get sick.............. its disgusting!
