@joniver I want one. :-)
by lillymunster 7/28/2011 4:32:01 PM

@ariadne You did it the right way. We put an article in peer review so it doesn't post it to the main page. It will show up in the links or if someone goes searching for it etc. Peer review keeps it sort of hidden and doesn't put it in the twitter broadcasts. I will grab your list of changes. I also have one from Dean that he emailed to me and add them into the document. Once we have the document ready to go I copy it into a new post and put it on the home page, so our discussions etc at peer review stay back there and don't show on the final product. ;-)

@joniver funny as it sounds the idea is solid isn't it :)
by elainekirk 7/28/2011 4:41:29 PM

@joniver @Majj I have made it number 2 in my list of must haves
by elainekirk 7/28/2011 4:47:47 PM

I did an update on the Plutonium article off of the various changes people had posted or sent me.
wp.me let me know if anyone finds other things that need updating or changes.
by lillymunster 7/28/2011 5:03:22 PM

out for a bit. will check posts when I get back
by lillymunster 7/28/2011 5:05:21 PM

I just got told in response to the teacher link which I put on my fbook (thanks @Majj) that there is no wonder the world is so apathetic it is because the Japanese people would rather keep it quiet what has happened than protect their own children :(
I cannot even be angry because this well informed person truly believes that what she has been told is true so it isnt just GOJ giving out misinformation it is coming from closer to home than goj
by elainekirk 7/28/2011 5:05:55 PM

@lillymunster so easy t spread with the buttons :)
by elainekirk 7/28/2011 5:27:04 PM

@joniver : the combination of solar/wind energy and car is only the beginning of the entire idea: decentral energy production in every house + car batteries as energy storage. every car that is not running will be connected to the new power grid and the battery energy can be resp. the battery will be recharged. this would be the model for bigger cities to effectively use renewable energy. it is presented in the visionary movie EnergyAutonomy - the 4th Revolution. highly recommendable.

@joniver and the people to believe --- it is not always the ideas that fail it is the publics failur to try them
by elainekirk 7/28/2011 5:57:53 PM

@joniver : gates ? he is constructing in-house nukes instead. better forget him.
en.wikipedia.org he also commented on the german nuke ban in a bad way.
by Edano 7/28/2011 5:59:36 PM

a complete different power grid will be necessary.
by Edano 7/28/2011 6:00:29 PM

@Edano could national grids be forgone in favour of localised :)
by elainekirk 7/28/2011 6:04:51 PM

the biggest problem is to fight against the big power companies, iaea, iea, opec and so on. they will obstruct every shift to renewables.
by Edano 7/28/2011 6:05:09 PM

@elainekirk : yes, of course, and this will save lots of energy, because the long power lines lose a huge part of the energy !
by Edano 7/28/2011 6:06:21 PM

@joniver : isn't that crazy ? an intelligent man with so much money wastes his time in nonsense.
